While weekends get a lot of deserved hype, some of the shoreline’s best events take place after kids head home. From concerts and dining to outdoor fun and reasons to spend summer nights out, there are plenty of excuses to venture out next week.
Across Mystic, Groton, Ledyard and Old Saybrook, there’s still a lot going on Monday through Thursday. Here’s a look at some of the best weekly events happening around southeastern Connecticut.
Martini Monday at Milestone
Monday, June 8 | 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Kick off your week with a handcrafted cocktail at Milestone in downtown Mystic. Every Monday, they are featuring $10 martinis such as Espresso Martinis, Lemon Drops, Dirty Martinis, Cosmopolitans, and other seasonal favorites. Check out their Industry Night special too, and get more deals if you work in the hospitality industry.
Celebrate Our James Beard Award Finalists
Tuesday, June 9 | 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Celebrate locally nominated James Beard Award chefs and hospitality pros right here at Mystic River Park before they head to Chicago. This complimentary public event recognizes David Standridge of The Shipwright’s Daughter, David DiStasi of Materia Ristorante, and The Port of Call’s award-winning beverage program, which has been honored nationally.
Groton City Farmers Market Summer 2026
Tuesday, June 9 | 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Groton City Farmers Market opens its 2026 season in Washington Park, featuring Connecticut-grown products, local food vendors, and artisans. Visitors will find seasonal fruits and vegetables, meats, seafood, eggs, breads, and specialty foods from local farmers and small businesses around southeast Connecticut. The Market is open every week through October.
2026 Mystic Summer Sounds Concert
Tuesday, June 9 | 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Renowned waterfront concert series returns to Mystic River Park. Mystic Pipes & Drums kick off opening night, followed by the Noank- Mystic Community Band. Bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnic dinners for free music at the Mystic River next to the Drawbridge.
2026 Ledyard Farmers Market
Wednesday, June 10 | 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
One of your favorite summer markets is back! Come browse local produce, specialty foods, handmade goods, food trucks, and more. There will also be live entertainment. Don’t forget, you can stop by after work on Wednesday! Grab the stuff you need for dinner or just look around.
2026 Old Saybrook Concert Series
Wednesday, June 10 | 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
The Old Saybrook Rotary begins its summer concert series on the Town Green with the U. S. Coast Guard Band. Come enjoy free live music on a warm summer evening downtown. Lawn chairs and a blanket are suggested.
Run. Paddle. Party.
Thursday, June 11 | 5:30 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.
Adventure Mystic’s flagship event is a night of running, paddling, teamwork, followed by a waterfront post-race party all in one evening. Crews of two complete a relay-style course on land and water.
Thursdays Aboard ARGIA: Live Music with James Harris
Thursday, June 11 | 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Live music under the sails is about as “Mystic” as it gets. Guests can experience a sunset sail on ARGIA with local musician James Harris playing acoustic favorites set against gorgeous views of open water, salt air, and coastal landscape.
Don’t wait until Friday for some fun in the sun. Whether it’s catching live tunes by the river, perusing a farmers’ market, celebrating local foodie fare, or sailing off into the sunset, there’s plenty to do along the shore to make this week awesome.
