Nickel Beer Day at the Mystic Seaport’s Schaefer Spouter Tavern

returns Saturday, May 23, from noon to 4 p.m., bringing craft beer tastings, waterfront atmosphere, and local flavors to Mystic Seaport Museum for an afternoon built around the start of summer in Mystic. Held at Schaefer Spouter Tavern overlooking the waterfront, the event combines regional breweries, specialty food offerings, and outdoor social energy into a casual shoreline gathering designed for beer lovers and weekend visitors alike.

For $10, guests receive five commemorative nickels redeemable for 2 oz. tasting pours along with a collectible tasting mug to use throughout the event. Participating breweries and beverage makers include Grey Sail Brewing, Schooners Beverage Company, Whalers Brewing Company, and Tapped Apple Cidery & Winery, giving attendees the chance to sample a variety of local beers, ciders, and craft beverages while exploring the museum grounds and tavern area. Spouter Tavern will also feature specialty menu items created specifically to pair with the tastings.
