2nd Annual Killingworth Motown Experience Extravaganza June 5 Gates Open 5pm Music Starts 6pm

2nd Annual Killingworth Motown Extravaganza brings the timeless sounds of Detroit to Parmelee Farm on Friday, June 5, for an evening of live music, food, and community fun. Following a successful debut that attracted more than 1,500 attendees, this free outdoor concert returns with Motown performer Victor G. Washington and his band, The Sweet Soul Revue, delivering the classic hits and soulful energy that made Motown music a cultural phenomenon. Local favorites Blues on the Rocks will kick off the evening before the headliners take the stage.

In addition to the music, guests can enjoy a variety of food trucks throughout the evening, including G-Zen’s plant-based cuisine, authentic Mexican fare from Los Mariachis, New Haven-style pizza from Grand Apizza, and artisan ice cream from Mama Mia. The event also features raffles and a silent auction benefiting Youth and Family Services of Haddam-Killingworth. Prize highlights include a Fender guitar package signed by Joe Bouchard of Blue Öyster Cult, as well as memorabilia from alternative rock legends Fishbone and other unique items.

Families, music lovers, and anyone looking for a fun summer evening outdoors will find plenty to enjoy at this community celebration. Admission is free, but attendees are encouraged to arrive early for the best parking and to bring lawn chairs or blankets, as seating is not provided. Between the music, food, and charitable fundraising, the Motown Extravaganza offers a memorable night under the stars while supporting an important local cause.
