One of the things I appreciate most about events like Waterford Day is that they remind us what a community really looks like.
It’s volunteers giving up their Saturday so families can have fun. It’s local businesses showing their support. It’s grandparents introducing grandchildren to traditions they remember from childhood. In a world where so much of life happens through a screen, there’s something refreshing about thousands of people simply gathering outside to celebrate the place they call home.
