A Night of Classic Eagles Music

Winslow Brings the Music of the Eagles to the UNITED Theatre in Westerly on Friday, October 16, for an evening celebrating one of the most successful American rock bands of the 1970s.

The tribute ensemble recreates the Eagles’ signature blend of country rock, polished musicianship and layered vocal harmonies, performing familiar favorites alongside deeper selections from the band’s extensive catalog.

For fans who grew up with the Eagles’ music, the concert promises a return to the songs that helped define an era of American rock. For younger listeners, it offers an opportunity to experience that music in a live setting.

From Hotel California to Take It Easy

The Eagles built their reputation on memorable songwriting, distinctive guitar arrangements and a vocal sound that blended rock, country and folk influences.

Their catalog includes enduring hits such as Hotel California, Take It Easy, Desperado, Lyin’ Eyes, One of These Nights and New Kid in Town. The band’s music has remained a fixture of classic rock radio for decades.

Winslow approaches that material with a particular emphasis on musical authenticity. Its experienced musicians reproduce the instrumental arrangements and intricate vocal interplay that made the original recordings recognizable.

One of the group’s defining features is its use of multiple lead vocalists, allowing the ensemble to recreate the Eagles’ celebrated five-part harmonies rather than relying on a single singer to carry every song.

The repertoire also extends beyond the band’s best-known recordings to include deep cuts and solo material associated with Eagles members Don Henley and Joe Walsh.

That broader selection gives the concert room to explore different periods of the group’s musical history, from its country-rock beginnings to the more elaborate arrangements of its later albums.

An Intimate Concert at the UNITED

The performance takes place in the UNITED Theatre’s Black Box Auditorium, part of the restored arts and entertainment complex in downtown Westerly.

The flexible performance space hosts concerts, theater, opera and other live events, providing a more intimate alternative to large concert arenas.

With doors opening at 6:30 p.m., concertgoers have time to settle in before the 7:30 p.m. performance. The event is open to all ages, and tickets range from $38 to $45, including fees.

Whether the appeal is the soaring harmonies of Hotel California or the easygoing country-rock sound of Take It Easy, Winslow’s performance offers an evening devoted to the Eagles’ lasting musical legacy.
