Tequila and Mezcal Mixology at KITCH gives cocktail enthusiasts the opportunity to explore the world of agave spirits during a hands-on class on Friday, July 17. Led by internationally recognized mixologist Chef Anthony Caporale, this two-hour workshop combines guided tastings, cocktail instruction, and the history behind tequila and mezcal, helping participants elevate their summer entertaining with professional techniques and recipes.

Guests will sample a curated selection of tequila and mezcal provided by Spencer & Lynn Wine and Spirit Merchants before learning how to craft three signature cocktails. Along the way, Caporale explains the differences between tequila and mezcal, their production methods, and how to choose the right spirit for each drink. Following the class, participants can take advantage of an exclusive shopping event with a discount on purchases made that evening.

A Mystic native, Chef Anthony Caporale is an internationally recognized mixology educator, author, and consultant. He serves as Director of Spirits Education and Research at New York City’s Institute of Culinary Education, created the long-running Off-Broadway The Imbible musical series about cocktail history, and curated Mystic Seaport Museum’s Temperance and Trade exhibition. His engaging teaching style combines cocktail history, science, and practical skills for an informative and entertaining experience.
