North Stonington Celebrate America 250 Parade Muster and Colonial Fair June 27 11am 1 Wyassup Road

North Stonington Celebrate America 250 Parade, Muster, and Colonial Fair invites visitors to step back into the Revolutionary era for a day of living history, music, demonstrations, and family-friendly activities on Saturday, June 27. Held as part of the nationwide America 250 commemoration, the free event transforms North Stonington into a celebration of the people, traditions, and stories that shaped the nation’s founding.

Throughout the day, guests can experience Revolutionary War-era life through historical reenactments, demonstrations, exhibits, and hands-on activities. Hear the Declaration of Independence performed as it was intended to be heard, listen to martial music from traditional fife and drum corps, explore colonial crafts and textiles, and learn about the contributions of both Revolutionary soldiers and the Eastern Pequot Tribal Nation. Families will also find colonial games, historic exhibits, demonstrations, and opportunities to interact with reenactors portraying life in 18th-century New England.

The event combines history, education, and community celebration in a uniquely local way. Visitors can browse colonial-inspired vendors, meet local farmers, enjoy food from community organizations, and experience a variety of living history presentations throughout the day. Whether you’re a history enthusiast or simply looking for a memorable family outing, Celebrate America 250 offers one of the region’s most distinctive summer events.
