July 22 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Kate Eberle If Books Could Kill Author Talk and Signing Wednesday July 22 6pm to 7pm

Kate Eberle (If Books Could Kill) Author Talk and Signing comes to Bank Square Books in Mystic on Wednesday, July 22, for a free evening celebrating the Connecticut author’s debut novel. Readers will have the opportunity to hear Eberle discuss her first book, her writing journey, and the inspiration behind her genre-bending romantic comedy before meeting the author and having books signed.

If Books Could Kill follows Roxie Mitchell, an adventure-loving romance reader who jokingly wishes she could become the heroine in her favorite author’s next novel. Her wish comes true—but not in the way she expected. Instead of finding herself in a swoon-worthy romance, Roxie discovers she’s been dropped into a crime thriller where her charming first date tries to murder her. Forced to rely on Grant Hoffman, an English professor with a love of crime fiction, the pair must navigate a world where the boundaries between fiction and reality disappear.

A Connecticut author and Boston University journalism graduate, Kate Eberle turned to fiction after rediscovering her love of storytelling. If Books Could Kill marks her debut novel, blending romance, mystery, suspense, and humor into an imaginative story for readers who enjoy clever twists on familiar genres.
