Hawk in the Nest
Hawk in the Nest is the latest musical project from award-winning Connecticut singer-songwriter Avi Jacob, expanding his signature roots sound into a full-band experience. Blending indie folk, Americana, soul, rhythm & blues, and rock influences, the group represents a new creative chapter for Jacob while maintaining the emotionally honest songwriting that has earned him widespread recognition.
The band’s self-titled debut album, Hawk in the Nest, was released in late 2025 and features standout songs including “Don’t Leave Me This Way” and “Baby Baby Baby Baby.” Together, the band creates a layered sound that combines soulful vocals, expressive guitar work, and vintage-inspired instrumentation.
Delicate Crush
Based in New London, Delicate Crush is the atmospheric indie folk project of singer-songwriter Danny Fleet. Releasing music through Vox Hall Records, the project has become a familiar presence throughout southeastern Connecticut’s live music scene.
Known for intimate performances and narrative songwriting, Delicate Crush blends acoustic arrangements with warm melodies and reflective lyrics. The project’s debut single, “midwinter,” introduced listeners to Fleet’s understated style, while appearances at venues across the region, including the Hygienic Indie Music Fest, have helped build a loyal local following.
Haunted Like Human
Nashville duo Haunted Like Human combines the talents of vocalist and lyricist Dale Chapman with multi-instrumentalist Cody Clark to create music rooted in folk traditions, Gothic Americana, and poetic storytelling.
Their performances feature haunting harmonies, intricate acoustic guitar work, and songs inspired by mythology, history, and the complexities of the human experience. Their latest album, American Mythology, showcases the duo’s cinematic songwriting and emotionally resonant performances.
