Running from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day, the festival invites visitors to enjoy authentic Greek cuisine, browse merchandise, and experience a community tradition that has continued for more than seven decades.

Food is one of the festival’s main attractions, with authentic Greek dishes offering visitors a chance to explore the flavors of Greece. Whether you’re already a fan of Greek cooking or looking to try something new, the festival provides an opportunity to enjoy traditional cuisine while supporting the local church community.

Food, Music, and Greek Traditions

The celebration goes beyond the food.

Greek music and dancing bring another dimension to the festival, sharing cultural traditions that have been passed down through generations. Visitors can enjoy the lively atmosphere, watch the dancing, and experience a little of the hospitality that makes Greek festivals popular community gatherings.

Greek shopping is also part of the festivities, giving guests an opportunity to browse items associated with the culture.

The festival’s theme, “Faith, Family, Food & Culture,” reflects its purpose: bringing people together through shared traditions and welcoming the wider community to take part.

More Than Seven Decades of Community Tradition

Now in its 71st year, the Greek Festival at Saint Sophia has become a longstanding New London tradition.
