17th Annual Stonington Artists Exhibit Opening: Celebrating America’s 250th Birthday
The 17th Annual Stonington Artists Exhibit returns to the La Grua Center with a special theme inspired by America’s 250th birthday. For the first time in the exhibit’s history, participating artists have been invited to explore a shared theme, encouraging creative interpretations of the nation’s history, challenges, achievements, and future through a wide range of artistic styles and mediums.
The exhibit showcases the work of talented artists from Stonington, Mystic, Pawcatuck, and the surrounding area, bringing together both professional and hobbyist creators of all ages and backgrounds. Visitors can expect a diverse collection of paintings, photography, mixed media works, and other artistic expressions that reflect personal perspectives on the American experience.
The opening reception offers an opportunity to meet local artists, view the collection before the general public, and engage with works designed to inspire conversation and reflection. Many of the pieces will be available for purchase, making the exhibit an opportunity not only to appreciate local talent but also to support the region’s creative community.
