Natalie Paige at Kingdom of the Hawk Vineyard
Natalie Paige at Kingdom of the Hawk Vineyard brings live local music to North Stonington on Friday, August 14, from 5 to 7 p.m. The singer-songwriter performs as part of the vineyard’s Friday music series, giving visitors an early-evening soundtrack to wine, food, and a summer night overlooking the vines.
The Friday series has become a regular part of the warmer months at Kingdom of the Hawk, pairing musicians from around southeastern Connecticut and Rhode Island with rotating food trucks and the vineyard’s wines. For August 14, South County BBQ is scheduled to serve food during Paige’s performance.
There’s no formal concert setup here. Grab a glass or bottle of wine, find a spot inside the winery or outdoors, order dinner and settle in. The vineyard’s North Stonington setting, surrounded by woods and open countryside, does much of the rest.
About Natalie Paige
Natalie Paige is a singer-songwriter who has been performing around the southeastern Connecticut music scene, including appearances at Mystic-area venues and community events.
Her vocal-centered singer-songwriter style is particularly well suited to smaller venues and outdoor performances like the Friday series at Kingdom of the Hawk.
Paige has also appeared at local events alongside other emerging regional musicians, including a performance at Mystic Aquarium’s Make Music Day celebration.
At Kingdom of the Hawk, Paige joins a summer schedule featuring a cross-section of familiar regional performers, including Phil Smith, Brad Bensko, Ben Freiert, Dan Watson and Ernie Lewis.
Friday Music at Kingdom of the Hawk
Live music is a regular part of the summer schedule at Kingdom of the Hawk, with performances generally held on Fridays and Saturdays and occasional Sunday dates.
The atmosphere is intentionally casual. This isn’t a ticketed theater concert with assigned seats. Music is part of an evening at the vineyard, allowing guests to talk, eat and enjoy a glass of wine while listening.

South County BBQ is scheduled to be at the vineyard for the evening. When a food truck or other food vendor is present, Kingdom of the Hawk asks guests to support the vendor rather than bringing their own food.
About Kingdom of the Hawk Vineyard
Kingdom of the Hawk is one of the newer additions to southeastern Connecticut’s wine country.
Michael and Merrily Connery purchased the 50-acre North Stonington property in 2018 after previously developing Saltwater Farm Vineyard in Stonington. They began planting vines on the new property and eventually opened Kingdom of the Hawk to visitors in 2023.
The winery sits along Pendleton Hill Road, surrounded by the rolling fields and woods of rural North Stonington. Its large contemporary building takes some visual cues from a New England barn but uses steel, stone, polished concrete and broad windows to create a much more modern space.
The vineyard’s name came naturally. Hawks are regularly seen soaring over the property.
Wine, Food and Seating
Kingdom of the Hawk takes a slightly different approach from wineries built around traditional tasting flights.
Wine tastings and flights aren’t offered. Instead, guests can purchase wine by the glass or bottle. Connecticut craft beer and cider are also available, along with small bites such as cheese and charcuterie.
South County BBQ provides the dinner option for the August 14 music night.
Outdoor tables and fireside lounge areas are first come, first served and can’t be reserved. A limited number of indoor reservations are available, particularly useful for larger groups.
Leashed dogs are welcome in the vineyard’s outdoor areas.
Outside alcohol isn’t permitted.
Make an Evening of It
With music beginning at 5 p.m., this is an easy Friday event to turn into dinner at the vineyard rather than a late-night concert.
Arriving early gives you more time to choose a place to sit, order food and get a glass of wine before Paige begins performing. Outdoor seating is particularly appealing when the weather cooperates, but the winery also provides indoor space if August decides not to cooperate.
The combination is simple: local music, barbecue and a couple of hours at a vineyard before the sun goes down.
