Despite the name, Sister Funk isn’t a funk band. For nearly two decades, the New Haven-based group has built a devoted following with an energetic blend of rock, country, folk, pop, blues, and Americana. Known for their unpredictable live performances, the band mixes original music with creative medleys of familiar favorites while seamlessly switching instruments throughout the show. Over the years, Sister Funk has shared stages with national acts including Melissa Etheridge, The B-52s, Foreigner, and ZZ Top. Their original music has earned multiple award nominations, including recognition from the New England Music Awards and the New Haven Advocate, while their song “Gone” spent 15 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on Sirius OutQ. Their latest album, Wings to Fly, showcases the band’s willingness to cross genres, from country rock and blues to hard rock and even electronic influences.

Guests can also enjoy dinner from The Whey Station Food Truck, one of Connecticut’s best-known mobile kitchens specializing in gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches. Founded by Johnson & Wales graduate Josh, The Whey Station has earned a loyal following by using locally baked bread, freshly grated cheese blends, and imaginative flavor combinations that elevate a classic comfort food into something memorable. From traditional favorites to inventive specialty creations, the menu pairs perfectly with an evening of live music and wine.

The concert takes place at Priam Vineyards, one of Connecticut’s premier wineries. Established in 1998 and opened to the public in 2003, the 40-acre estate is home to more than 12,000 grapevines overlooking sweeping views of the New England countryside. Priam’s unique microclimate and gravelly soils support a variety of European and American grape varietals, producing internationally award-winning wines. The vineyard is also committed to sustainable farming practices and has been certified by the National Wildlife Federation as a wildlife habitat.
