Thurston Howell Band – Yacht Rock Tribute at the Sun Patio headlines another evening of Mohegan Sun’s Party on the Sun Patio: Hot Summer Fun on Friday, July 31. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the music beginning at 8:00 p.m. as one of New England’s premier yacht rock tribute bands delivers an evening of smooth classics in an open-air setting beneath the summer sky.
Celebrating the polished pop, rock, and soft soul sounds of the late 1970s and early 1980s, the Thurston Howell Band recreates hits made famous by artists including Hall & Oates, Steely Dan, Christopher Cross, Toto, Kenny Loggins, Michael McDonald, and the Doobie Brothers. With outstanding musicianship, tight harmonies, and infectious grooves, the band captures the easygoing spirit of the yacht rock era while keeping audiences singing and dancing all night long.
The concert is part of Mohegan Sun’s 14-week Party on the Sun Patio: Hot Summer Fun series, featuring free outdoor concerts throughout the summer. Guests can enjoy refreshing drink specials at the Sun Patio & Bar while sampling a rotating lineup of food trucks, including Bear’s Smokehouse BBQ and Ta’ Deliciozo.
