Celebrate New London Official 5K Community Run

Celebrate New London Official 5K Community Run kicks off a day of festivities during Celebrate New London on Saturday, July 11. Organized by the Whaling City Run Club, the community run welcomes runners and walkers of all abilities for a scenic 5K through downtown New London before the city’s day-long celebration and evening fireworks.

The event begins at Whale Tail Fountain, where participants will check in, complete waivers, and receive a course briefing before the 9 a.m. start. Whether you’re chasing a personal best or simply looking for a fun way to begin the day, the run offers a chance to enjoy the waterfront, meet fellow runners, and celebrate one of New London’s signature summer weekends.

Open to community members and visitors alike, the Official 5K Community Run provides an active start to the day’s events while bringing together runners in support of one of southeastern Connecticut’s largest annual celebrations.
