This may be the busiest weekend we’ve seen all year, and Mother Nature appears ready to do her part.*
Between Connecticut Trails Day, farmers markets, plant sales, concerts, food festivals, carnivals, and vineyard events, there was simply too much to fit into a traditional weekend roundup. That’s why this week’s edition is organized into four separate guides, making it easier to find exactly what interests you.
Connecticut Trails Day brings guided hikes, historic walks, and outdoor adventures across the region, while the growing number of events spilling into Monday through Thursday convinced us to add a dedicated guide for next week. Add in the return of outdoor concert season, farmers markets, and community festivals, and there’s something happening in nearly every corner of SE Connecticut and SW Rhode Island.
In Farmers’ Markets, Blooms & Garden Paths, you’ll find farmers markets, plant sales, garden tours, and floral exhibits celebrating the arrival of growing season. Connecticut Trails Day & Hiking Guide highlights scenic hikes, historic walks, and outdoor adventures taking place throughout the region. The CT Beacon Music Guide rounds up the concerts, tribute acts, and live performances we think are most worth your attention this week. Finally, Things To Do Next Week looks beyond the weekend with markets, concerts, food events, outdoor activities, and other happenings taking place Monday through Thursday.

*Friday looks like the best day of the weekend with sunshine and temperatures near 80°. Saturday should remain warm with a mix of sun and clouds, though a few late-day showers are possible. Sunday turns cooler with more clouds and the chance of scattered showers.
