Event Description

Brunch for Dinner at Kitch Mystic turns a Saturday evening into a hands-on celebration of everyone’s favorite late-morning meal. On November 7, from 6 to 9 p.m., Chef Amanda will guide a small group through four recipes, including maple-brown sugar glazed bacon, savory cheddar and chive scones, raspberry crème brûlée chia-oat pudding, and a delicate asparagus and white cheddar egg soufflé. The evening ends with everyone gathering around the farm table to enjoy the meal they’ve prepared, accompanied by a complimentary wine tasting.

This isn’t a cooking demonstration where guests sit and watch. Participants will work in small groups, prepare dishes themselves, and learn techniques they can use in their own kitchens. With only eight to ten people in the class, there’s plenty of opportunity to ask questions, practice new skills, and enjoy an evening with fellow food lovers.

Breakfast Favorites With a Dinner-Worthy Twist

The evening’s menu takes familiar brunch ingredients and gives them a little extra attention.

Maple-brown sugar glazed bacon combines the smoky, salty flavor of bacon with a sweet coating that caramelizes as it cooks.

Cheddar and chive scones bring a savory alternative to the traditional sweet breakfast pastry. The combination of sharp cheese and fresh herbs makes them a natural companion to eggs and bacon.

For something sweet, participants will prepare raspberry crème brûlée chia-oat pudding, a dish that combines fruit, oats, and chia seeds with the flavors of the classic French dessert.

The centerpiece of the evening is an asparagus and white cheddar egg soufflé.

Learning the Art of a Soufflé

Soufflés have a reputation for being intimidating.

They require careful preparation, properly whipped eggs, and attention to timing and temperature. Get those elements right, and the result is a light, airy dish that rises beautifully in the oven.

Chef Amanda will walk participants through the process of making an asparagus and white cheddar egg soufflé, demonstrating the techniques that help create its delicate texture.

It’s the kind of dish that can make an ordinary weekend breakfast feel special, and one that many home cooks hesitate to attempt without guidance.

By preparing it during the class, participants can become more comfortable with the process before trying it at home.

Everyone Gets a Turn in the Kitchen

Kitch Mystic structures its cooking classes around participation.

Guests divide into small groups, with each group responsible for preparing a different recipe from the evening’s menu.

Chef Amanda works with participants individually and addresses the class as a whole, explaining techniques and answering questions along the way.

Guests can also observe what the other groups are preparing, picking up additional ideas and kitchen skills.

The class is designed to accommodate different experience levels, so beginners and more confident home cooks can participate.

Every guest receives the recipes, making it possible to recreate the dishes after the class.

From the Kitchen to the Farm Table

Once the cooking is finished, everyone gathers around Kitch Mystic’s farm table for dinner.

Rather than taking their dishes home, participants sit down together and enjoy the complete menu they’ve created.

A complimentary wine tasting is included, and guests are welcome to bring their own beverages.

The shared meal is part of what makes the experience different from an ordinary cooking lesson. Participants get to taste the results of their work, compare notes, and enjoy the evening without having to worry about cleaning up their own kitchen afterward.

A Small Class With Limited Seating

Brunch for Dinner is limited to ten participants, with a minimum of eight required for the class to take place.

Admission is $115 per person, plus tax, and advance payment is required.

Participants must be at least 21 years old. Cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance are eligible for a refund or credit toward another class. If Kitch cancels because enrollment is too low, guests may receive a full refund or choose a future class.

Reservations can be made via the Event Ticketing link at the bottom of this page, or by calling (860) 980-3384.

You’ll leave with more than a full stomach. You’ll have four recipes and a few new kitchen skills to take home.
