Event Description
Trick or Jeep brings decorated Jeeps, Halloween costumes, candy, and family entertainment to Bob Valenti Auto Mall in Mystic on Saturday, October 24. The free community celebration runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., offering families an afternoon of trick-or-treating, games, food, and Halloween fun with a distinctly automotive twist.
Instead of going door to door, children can go Jeep to Jeep, collecting treats from vehicles decorated for the season. Participating Jeep owners are encouraged to get creative, transforming their vehicles into Halloween displays and competing for prizes.
The event also features balloon creations, free pizza, raffles, and a community food drive.
Trick-or-Treating With a Jeep Twist
Traditional trunk-or-treat events have become a popular alternative to neighborhood trick-or-treating, bringing decorated vehicles together in one location where children can collect candy and enjoy the creativity of participating families.
Trick or Jeep puts its own spin on the concept by making Jeeps the stars of the celebration.
Owners can decorate their vehicles with Halloween themes, spooky accessories, and imaginative displays, creating a colorful lineup for children and families to explore.
For young trick-or-treaters, the attraction is simple: plenty of candy and a chance to see an assortment of decorated Jeeps in one place.
For Jeep enthusiasts, the event offers an opportunity to show off their vehicles, meet fellow owners, and participate in a community celebration.
Prizes for the Best Decorated Jeeps
The decorations are more than just for show.
Organizers will award prizes for Best Decorated Jeep and Best Accessories, encouraging participants to put their Halloween creativity to work.
All participating Jeeps are automatically entered into the competition, but owners must be present to win.
Whether a vehicle features elaborate spooky decorations or a clever collection of themed accessories, the contest gives Jeep owners a chance to make their creations part of the entertainment.
Jeep owners who want to participate should register through the event organizer’s website before arriving.
Balloon Art, Pizza, and Family Activities
The afternoon includes several activities beyond the decorated vehicles.
April from April Balloon Creations will be creating balloon art for children until 1 p.m., adding another colorful attraction to the festivities.
Luigi Wood Fired Pizza will also be on hand, distributing free slices.
Families can enjoy games, prizes, and raffles throughout the event.
With activities scheduled across three hours, visitors can stop by for a short Halloween outing or spend more time exploring the decorated Jeeps and participating in the festivities.
Bring a Canned Good to Help the Community
Trick or Jeep also includes a charitable component.
Families are encouraged to bring canned goods for the dealership’s annual food drive, combining Halloween fun with an opportunity to support neighbors in need.
The food collection gives visitors a simple way to contribute while enjoying the free activities.
Although admission is free, bringing a few nonperishable items is an easy way to participate in the event’s community spirit.
A Halloween Celebration, Rain or Shine
The festivities take place outdoors at Bob Valenti Auto Mall in Mystic and will be held rain or shine.
Families should dress for the weather and are welcome to arrive in their Halloween costumes.
For parents looking for a daytime Halloween activity, Trick or Jeep offers an opportunity for children to enjoy candy, decorations, games, and entertainment before Halloween night arrives.
For Jeep owners, it’s a chance to turn their vehicles into part of the celebration.
And for everyone attending, it’s a free afternoon of community fun with a little Halloween mischief mixed in.
