Dutch Tavern Comedy Show

Dutch Tavern has occupied 23 Green Street since 1933, when Mauritz “Dutch” Nauta opened the tavern following the end of Prohibition.

Its history also intersects with New London’s literary past. Eugene O’Neill was among the writers associated with the tavern, and the Dutch has maintained its reputation as a gathering place for artists, musicians, writers and New London regulars.

For a stand-up show, its compact size should put the comedians and audience in unusually close quarters.
