Yoko Miwa Trio at The Side Door Jazz Club
Yoko Miwa Trio at The Side Door Jazz Club brings one of today’s most acclaimed jazz pianists to Old Lyme on Saturday, July 25, for an evening of exceptional modern jazz. Joined by bassist Will Slater and drummer Scott Goulding, internationally celebrated pianist Yoko Miwa performs with the remarkable chemistry and musicianship that have made her trio one of New England’s premier jazz ensembles.
Born in Kobe, Japan, Miwa began her musical journey as a classical pianist before discovering jazz, a path that ultimately led her to Boston’s Berklee College of Music following the devastating 1995 Kobe earthquake.
