Dance Night at The Knick with Eight to the Bar & UNITED Big Band and Jazz Combo brings swing, Motown, jazz, and dance-floor energy to Knickerbocker Music Center for a lively evening hosted by The UNITED. Headlined by Eight to the Bar, the event also celebrates the release of Jazz on a School Night, a new album performed by students in The UNITED’s Big Band and Jazz Combo programs.

Known for blending swing, boogie-woogie, rhythm and blues, and Motown into a high-energy live experience, Eight to the Bar has built a devoted following through decades of touring across the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean. Their polished arrangements, strong musicianship, and female-led vocals create the kind of classic dance-hall atmosphere that keeps crowds moving from the first song to the last. Over the years, the band has shared stages with artists including Ray Charles and Roy Orbison.

Opening performances from The UNITED Big Band and Jazz Combo spotlight young musicians from schools across the region, performing an energetic mix of jazz, funk, swing, and horn-driven favorites inspired by groups like Tower of Power and Earth, Wind & Fire.
