7th Annual Plow Day
Take a ride inland to Sterling, Connecticut and slow things down for a while. Out here, the pace shifts… open fields, early spring air, and the steady rhythm of teams of oxen working the soil the way it’s been done for generations. It’s not a show in the usual sense. It’s quiet, deliberate, and strangely calming to watch, the kind of moment where you just stand there a little longer than you expected.
As the fields turn over, there’s that unmistakable feeling that the season is starting to wake up. Rows take shape, the ground softens, and everything feels like it’s just about to begin again. It’s simple, but it sticks with you… a reminder of how much work and patience goes into something as basic as planting a garden.
Before you head out, step into the greenhouse and take a look around. Early plantings, fresh starts, and a chance to get ideas moving for your own space back home. It’s a small detour from the coast, but one that trades noise for something quieter… a little more grounded, and worth the drive.
