Creation Station at Stonington Free Library
Creation Station at Stonington Free Library is a four-week creative writing program that encourages young writers to turn their ideas into stories through fun, interactive workshops. Designed for children ages 8 to 12, the Monday afternoon series explores the building blocks of storytelling while giving participants the opportunity to develop their creativity, imagination, and confidence as writers.
Each session focuses on a different element of storytelling, from creating memorable characters and vivid settings to building conflict and exploring point of view. Along the way, participants will write, share ideas, and develop their own original stories in a supportive and encouraging environment. The program is ideal for children who enjoy reading, writing, or simply making up stories.
Led by the Stonington Free Library, Creation Station helps young authors discover that every great story starts with an idea. Registration is required for the four-week series.
