DESCRIPTION:Sign-up is full.\nGroton Submarine Slam: Annual Pickleball Tournament this June with three days of competition\, camaraderie\, and one of the region’s fastest-growing sports. The tournament brings pickleball players together for a round-robin doubles format followed by medal rounds\, giving participants multiple opportunities to compete throughout the weekend. \nThe event begins with Mixed Doubles on Friday\, June 5\, followed by Men’s Doubles on Saturday\, June 6\, and Women’s Doubles on Sunday\, June 7. Matches will take place at the Bassi Pickleball Courts\, with play moving to Groton Community Center in the event of inclement weather. The tournament is open to players with skill levels of 3.25 and above\, creating a competitive environment for experienced recreational players. \nEach team registration includes tournament entry and a commemorative T-shirt\, with medals awarded to first\, second\, and third-place finishers in each division. Space is limited to 12 teams per division\, and participants must have a GP&R Free Drop-In Pickleball Membership to compete. Organizers encourage teams to register early and provide both team and partner information during registration. \nPricing\n$50.00 Per Team includes tee shirt \nFriday\, June 5th–Mixed Doubles- 5 PM -9 PM\nSaturday\, June 6th–Men’s Doubles- 8 AM – 12 PM\nSunday\, June 7th–Woman’s Doubles- 8 AM – 12 PM
