DESCRIPTION:One of One Athletic Opening Party celebrates its newly opened downtown Westerly gym on Wednesday\, September 9\, bringing together members\, neighbors\, and the local running community at its new home on High Street. \nThe celebration begins at 6:30 p.m. at 26 High Street\, giving people who haven’t visited One of One yet a chance to check out the gym\, meet the community that’s forming around it\, and join the team in celebrating its arrival downtown. \nThe evening will include Run Club Westerly\, food from neighboring The Space\, and a DJ. \nA New Fitness Community in Downtown Westerly\nOne of One Athletic has opened as a boutique-style gym and coaching-focused training space in the heart of downtown Westerly. \nThe gym emphasizes individualized training rather than the anonymous experience of a large fitness center. Its approach centers on personal coaching\, strength and wellness\, with training tailored to individual goals and fitness levels. \nThe facility includes a variety of workout equipment as well as an outdoor training area and an InBody body-composition machine for members interested in tracking changes beyond the number on a scale. \nBut the community surrounding One of One extends beyond the gym itself. \nThe group has also developed a local following through its run club\, bringing people together for social runs and workouts outside the facility. \nThe September 9 party is a chance to celebrate bringing that community into a permanent downtown home. \nRun Club Westerly Joins the Party\nRun Club Westerly will make the opening celebration part of its regular Wednesday gathering. \nThe club will hold its run from One of One and return to the gym for its post-run gathering\, combining the group’s usual Wednesday activity with the larger celebration. \nThat connection makes sense for a gym presenting itself as more than a place filled with exercise equipment.
