The special event features tributes to local history\, live performances\, and a spectacular fireworks display as part of the park’s popular summer concert series. \nThe evening begins with a special presentation by the Save Ocean Beach group honoring Mr. Ocean Beach\, Tony Pero. Guests are encouraged to wear their favorite or silliest hats in tribute\, and everyone who participates will receive a special treat. Following the ceremony\, the park welcomes RetroVerse Band for its first performance as the opening act of the 2026 CT Summer Series. \nRetroVerse delivers a high-energy Rock & Roll Theatrical Extravaganza celebrating the music and fashion of favorite decades. The band’s diverse setlist features classic rock\, one-hit wonders\, alternative rock\, progressive rock\, movie soundtracks\, country music\, metal\, and much more.
