DESCRIPTION:Adventures in Nature: for ages 6-10 is a monthly program offered at the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center. These engaging programs are designed to bring children outdoors to learn about nature through hands-on experiences\, discovery\, and themes that focus on the wildlife\, plants\, and habitats that thrive in our region of southeastern Connecticut. Sessions take place on the second Saturday of each month. \nTopics change each month\, allowing children to try something new each time while learning about the wonders of nature all around them. Children will search for critters under a pond’s surface\, look for bugs and learn about the edible fruits and berries that grow in our forests. \nIf your child loves to be outdoors and ask questions about the world around them\, this is the perfect series for them.
