A $10\,000 first prize for the costume contest\, giving Halloween enthusiasts a compelling reason to bring their most creative looks to Mashantucket. \nBeginning at 9:30 p.m.\, the adults-only party features music from a DJ and the Foxwoods Famous Mon-Stars Band\, spooky signature cocktails\, and a gathering of costumed revelers ready to celebrate Halloween on a grand scale. \n$20\,000 in Prizes — and $10\,000 for First Place\nFor serious Halloween costume enthusiasts\, Sinister Soirée offers more than an opportunity to dress up. \nFoxwoods is putting $20\,000 in cash and prizes on the line\, with $10\,000 going to the first-place winner. \nThat’s a substantial incentive for anyone who spends weeks planning a costume\, perfecting a character\, or creating an original Halloween look. \nThe competition is likely to be one of the evening’s major attractions\, with participants showing off their creativity and competing for the top award. \nEven guests who don’t enter can enjoy seeing the variety of costumes and the imagination that goes into them. \nOne important consideration: Foxwoods enforces strict costume rules\, so contestants should review the restrictions before putting the finishing touches on their outfits. \nLive Music\, DJs\, and a Halloween Dance Party\nBeyond the costume contest\, Sinister Soirée is designed as a full-scale Halloween night out. \nThe Foxwoods Famous Mon-Stars Band joins a DJ to provide the evening’s entertainment\, giving guests plenty of reasons to hit the dance floor. \nSpooky signature cocktails add to the Halloween atmosphere\, while the Rainmaker Expo Center provides a large venue for mingling\, dancing\, and celebrating. \nAdmission includes one cocktail or mocktail\, and VIP section options are available for guests interested in an upgraded experience. \nWhether you’re entering the costume competition or simply planning a night out with friends\, the party combines live entertainment with the spectacle of Halloween at one of the region’s largest entertainment destinations. \nDress to Impress — But Know the Costume Rules\nWith a major cash prize at stake\, choosing the right costume is especially important. \nHowever\, Foxwoods has specific requirements that distinguish this event from a typical Halloween party. \nMasks\, full-face coverings\, and prosthetics are prohibited. Makeup must be limited enough for security personnel to identify every guest. \nWeapons and replica weapons are also forbidden\, including costume swords\, knives\, guns\, claws\, bats\, and other prohibited props. \nGuests wearing military\, police\, or emergency-service costumes must make sure their outfits are clearly distinguishable from official uniforms. \nCostumes must also meet the venue’s coverage and appropriateness standards. \nThese restrictions are particularly important for guests planning elaborate horror costumes or character outfits that rely on masks\, facial prosthetics\, or accessories. \nReviewing the complete costume policy before attending can help avoid disappointment at the entrance. \nHalloween Night at Foxwoods\nThe event takes place at the Rainmaker Expo Center\, with the Rainmaker Garage designated as the recommended parking location. \nGuests must be at least 21 years old and present acceptable identification to enter. \nShopping bags and backpacks are not permitted\, and all bags are subject to inspection. \nFor adults looking to celebrate Halloween with something bigger than a neighborhood costume party\, Sinister Soirée offers a combination of music\, nightlife\, elaborate costumes\, and a high-stakes competition. \nAnd with $10\,000 awaiting the first-place costume winner\, there could be a particularly memorable ending to someone’s Halloween night. \nTo purchase tickets\, click the Event Ticketing link below. \n\nFeatured image is an artistic representation inspired by the event and may not depict the actual people\, location\, or activities shown.
