SUMMARY:Brickwrecks: Sunken Ships in LEGO Bricks
DESCRIPTION:Brickwrecks: Sunken Ships in LEGO Bricks drops visitors into centuries of maritime mystery and disaster at Mystic Seaport Museum.. The internationally touring exhibition combines massive LEGO® ship recreations with real maritime history\, creating an experience that feels part museum exhibit\, part interactive adventure. As the first American stop for the exhibition\, Mystic Seaport becomes the latest host for a showcase that has previously appeared at major maritime museums in Europe and Australia. \nThe exhibit features eleven detailed LEGO® models recreating famous shipwrecks and maritime disasters spanning thousands of years\, including the Titanic\, the Vasa\, Franklin’s Arctic expedition ships Terror and Erebus\, and the ancient Uluburun trading vessel. Created in partnership with LEGO® Certified Professional Ryan “The Brickman” McNaught\, the displays combine historical storytelling with surprisingly intricate engineering and visual detail. Some models even include cross-section cutaways revealing what happened beneath the waterline. \nInteractive experiences throughout the exhibit invite visitors to test survival scenarios\, operate a remote underwater vehicle\, experiment with ship stability\, and build LEGO® creations of their own. Alongside the models are replica artifacts\, archaeological tools\, and multimedia displays exploring how modern researchers investigate shipwrecks and what those discoveries reveal about trade\, exploration\, disaster\, and human history. The result is an exhibit that works equally well for families\, history buffs\, LEGO® fans\, and anyone who still secretly wants to touch every museum display. \n

SUMMARY:Watch Hill Merry-Go-Round
DESCRIPTION:Watch Hill Merry-Go-Round begins its regular summer season on June 13\, welcoming families back to one of the most beloved and historic attractions along the Rhode Island shoreline. Located in the heart of Watch Hill\, the carousel has long been woven into the rhythm of summer in the seaside village\, with generations of visitors making a ride part of their annual trips to the coast. As shops\, beaches\, and restaurants fill with early summer crowds\, the opening of the Merry-Go-Round marks another sign that the season is fully underway in SW Rhode Island. \nBelieved to have been built in 1867 by Andrew Christian and the Charles W.F. Dare Co. of New York City\, the Watch Hill Merry-Go-Round is widely considered the oldest continuously operating carousel in the United States. Local legend says a traveling carnival brought the carousel to Watch Hill in 1883 before abandoning it\, allowing the ride to become a permanent part of the village itself. Over the decades\, the carousel survived major storms\, including the devastating Hurricane of 1938\, while remaining one of the area’s most enduring landmarks. \nToday\, the Watch Hill Merry-Go-Round continues to deliver the same nostalgic charm that has drawn families to it for generations. The hand-carved horses\, historic structure\, and coastal surroundings create an experience that feels timeless against the backdrop of Watch Hill’s beaches and waterfront streets. For many visitors\, a ride on the carousel remains one of the defining traditions of summer along the Rhode Island coast. \n

SUMMARY:Another Tequila Sunrise at the Rathskeller
DESCRIPTION:Another Tequila Sunrise at the Rathskeller brings the music of the Eagles to Charlestown on Friday\, August 14\, for three hours of classic rock under the summer sky. The New England-based tribute band takes the stage from 8 to 11 p.m.\, performing everything from laid-back country rock and harmony-driven ballads to the guitar-heavy songs that defined the Eagles’ later years. \nThis isn’t a tribute built around costumes or impersonation. Another Tequila Sunrise has been performing the Eagles’ catalog since 2001\, concentrating on the details that made the original band distinctive: layered vocal harmonies\, intertwined guitars and arrangements that can move from the quiet opening of “Desperado” to the unmistakable guitar finale of “Hotel California.” The band’s repertoire also reaches beyond the Eagles into solo material from Don Henley\, Glenn Frey and Joe Walsh. (ANOTHER TEQUILA SUNRISE) \nThe Charlestown Rathskeller gives the show a fitting setting. Tucked into the woods along Old Coach Road\, the historic tavern combines outdoor music with food\, drinks\, fire pits and lawn games. Come early for dinner\, then settle in for a Friday night of songs that helped define the sound of 1970s American rock. \nAbout Another Tequila Sunrise\nAnother Tequila Sunrise is a New England-based Eagles tribute that has been performing since 2001 and has toured throughout the country. Rather than concentrating on a single period of the Eagles\, the group covers the band’s evolution from early Southern California country rock through its arena-sized rock years. \nThe seven-member lineup is structured to reproduce the instrumental and vocal layers of an Eagles concert. The current group includes John Robert Murphy handling the Don Henley vocal role\, Jeff Griffith on guitar and vocals in the Glenn Frey role\, Bryan Picher performing Joe Walsh’s guitar parts\, Jeremy Beek covering the Don Felder and Steuart Smith guitar work\, John Baptista on bass and vocals\, Denis Brunelle on keyboards\, guitar and vocals\, and Steve Brodi on drums and vocals. \nThere’s considerable experience behind those parts. Murphy spent years fronting a nationally touring Journey tribute and has performed with Journey and Santana founding member Gregg Rolie. Griffith studied music at UMass Lowell along with classes at Juilliard and New England Conservatory\, while Picher specializes in reproducing the details of Joe Walsh’s distinctive guitar style. \nWhat You’ll Hear\nThe Eagles built a catalog broad enough that an evening devoted to their music doesn’t stay in one gear for long. \nAnother Tequila Sunrise’s repertoire includes the country-rock sound of “Take It Easy\,” “Lyin’ Eyes” and “Peaceful Easy Feeling\,” harmony-rich ballads such as “Desperado\,” “Wasted Time” and “Best of My Love\,” and harder-edged tracks including “Victim of Love” and “Hotel California.” \nThe band also performs deeper album cuts and music from the Eagles members’ solo careers\, including material from Don Henley\, Glenn Frey and Joe Walsh. Some performances have even featured complete Eagles albums\, reflecting how deeply the group reaches into the catalog. \nThat should make the Rathskeller show more than a quick run through a dozen obvious hits. Casual Eagles fans will know plenty of the songs\, while people who wore out copies of Desperado\, One of These Nights or Hotel California should find plenty tucked into the set for them\, too. \nAn Outdoor Night at the Rathskeller\nThe Charlestown Rathskeller’s wooded property gives this concert a very different feel from seeing an Eagles tribute inside a theater. \nGuests can arrive early for dinner and drinks\, spend some time around the outdoor grounds and stay for the concert from 8 to 11 p.m. The property includes outdoor seating\, fire pits and lawn games\, making it easy to turn the performance into an entire Friday night out rather than arriving just before the first song. \nTickets\nAdvance admission is $20 plus Eventbrite fees. \nTickets will also be available at the door for $25\, subject to availability. \nWith a three-hour performance scheduled\, arriving early also leaves time for dinner before the band begins. \nEvent Details\nDate\nFriday\, August 14\, 2026 \nTime\n8:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. \nLocation\nThe Charlestown Rathskeller Tavern \nAddress\n489 Old Coach Road\nCharlestown\, RI \nAdmission\n$20 advance plus ticketing fees\n$25 at the door \nFood & Drinks\nAvailable for purchase from the Rathskeller. \nSetting\nOutdoor live music on the Rathskeller’s wooded grounds. \nImportant Notes\nAdvance tickets are recommended. Door admission is subject to availability. \nMore Information\nFor more information\, visit the event website using the Event Website link below. \nFor ticket purchases\, click on the Ticketing link below. \n\n

SUMMARY:Nate Bargatze: Big Dumb Eyes
DESCRIPTION:There’s a certain kind of quiet confidence to Nate Bargatze that sneaks up on you. On the *Big Dumb Eyes Tour*\, he leans into that same laid-back delivery that made him one of the biggest stand-ups working right now. No shouting\, no over-the-top energy… just clean\, sharp observations told in a way that feels almost effortless. And somehow\, that makes the laughs hit even harder. \nHis material lives in the everyday. Family\, parenting\, random thoughts that don’t seem funny at first… until he stretches them just enough to reveal how absurd they really are. The pacing is slow on purpose\, the tone almost deadpan\, and then the punchline lands and the whole room realizes they’ve been pulled into the bit without noticing. It’s smart without feeling heavy\, and relatable without trying too hard. \nLive\, it turns into a steady wave of laughter instead of big spikes. The crowd settles in\, listens\, and then just keeps laughing as one story rolls into the next. Something is refreshing about that kind of control… nothing rushed\, nothing forced. If you’re into comedy that’s clean\, low-key\, and quietly hilarious\, the *Big Dumb Eyes Tour* delivers in a way that sticks with you long after the show ends.

SUMMARY:Counterfeit Cash (Johnny Cash Tribute) at the Charlestown Rathskeller 2026
DESCRIPTION:Counterfeit Cash (Johnny Cash Tribute) at the Charlestown Rathskeller 2026 brings the songs of the Man in Black to Charlestown on Sunday\, August 9\, for a free afternoon concert in the Rathskeller’s outdoor setting. From 4 to 7 p.m.\, the tribute band will dig into Johnny Cash’s unmistakable catalog of country\, rockabilly\, gospel\, and outlaw favorites. \nSongs such as “Folsom Prison Blues\,” “Ring of Fire\,” and “I Walk the Line” form the backbone of a show designed to capture the sound and attitude of Cash rather than simply borrowing the black clothes. Counterfeit Cash focuses on faithful arrangements of the recordings that made Cash one of the defining figures in American music. \nThe Sunday afternoon start also makes this an easy concert to build a day around. Grab lunch or a drink\, settle into the Rathskeller’s wooded grounds\, play a lawn game\, and stay for three hours of live music. Admission is free. \nAbout Counterfeit Cash\nCounterfeit Cash is a Johnny Cash tribute dedicated to recreating the sound\, energy\, and character of Cash’s music onstage. \nThe band’s repertoire reaches across Cash’s long career\, including the early Sun Records sound that helped shape rockabilly and rock and roll\, the stark storytelling of his country recordings\, and the outlaw attitude that made him an artist who never fit comfortably inside a single genre. \nFor audiences\, that means plenty of recognizable material. Songs such as “Folsom Prison Blues\,” “Ring of Fire\,” and “I Walk the Line” are among the classics featured in the band’s performances. \nLearn more about Counterfeit Cash \nThe Music of Johnny Cash\nJohnny Cash’s catalog stretches across country\, rock and roll\, folk\, blues\, and gospel\, giving a tribute show plenty of room to move. \nHis stripped-down rhythms and booming vocals made early recordings instantly recognizable\, while his songs frequently centered on working people\, prisoners\, faith\, regret\, love\, and redemption. Decades later\, those recordings remain staples of American music. \nCounterfeit Cash brings that catalog back to the stage in a setting considerably more relaxed than a traditional theater show. \nAn Afternoon at the Rathskeller\nThe Charlestown Rathskeller sits among the trees on Old Coach Road\, giving its live music events a distinctly Rhode Island summer atmosphere. \nGuests can come early for lunch or drinks and spend time outside before the performance. The property features expansive outdoor areas\, fire pits\, and lawn games alongside the restaurant and tavern. \nWith the concert running from 4 to 7 p.m.\, there’s no need to wait until nighttime for the music to begin. \nFood & Drinks\nFood and beverages are available for purchase from the Charlestown Rathskeller throughout the afternoon. \nThe combination of an outdoor concert and full restaurant makes this less formal than a ticketed theater performance. Guests can make the music part of a late lunch\, an early dinner\, or simply settle in with a drink for the show. \nEvent Details\nDate\nSunday\, August 9\, 2026 \nTime\n4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. \nLocation\nThe Charlestown Rathskeller Tavern \nAddress\n489A Old Coach Road\nCharlestown\, RI 02813 \nAdmission\nFree \nFood & Drinks\nAvailable for purchase. \nSetting\nOutdoor live music at the Rathskeller’s wooded property. \nImportant Notes\nGuests are encouraged to arrive early if they plan to have lunch or drinks before the performance. \nMore Information\nFor more information\, visit the event website using the Event Website link below. \nFor ticket purchases\, click on the Ticketing link below. \n\n
