Or bring a blanket\, settle into the grass with friends\, and watch the moon rise. \nUnder the Sturgeon Moon\nThe timing gives Moonlight Social a natural centerpiece. \nAugust’s full moon is traditionally known as the Sturgeon Moon\, a name associated with the large freshwater fish that were historically abundant and easier to catch during this part of the summer. \nAt Stone Acres Farm\, the moon becomes part of the event itself. \nMoonlight Social begins as the summer evening starts changing. Daylight fades across the farm\, fires begin glowing and the full moon rises into a night built around gathering outdoors. \nIt’s a simple idea\, but the setting does a lot of the work. \nA Night Without Much of a Schedule\nMoonlight Social isn’t asking everyone to stand in front of one stage for the entire evening. \nLive music and dancing are part of the night\, but so are the spaces between them. \nGuests can explore artisan vendors\, find something to eat or drink\, join a meditation or sound healing experience and spend time around the bonfires. \nThat freedom is central to the event. \nWant to dance?
