His influences stretch from Merle Haggard to Tyler Childers\, and his songs tend to stay close to the storytelling side of country music. Nick Bosse & The Northern Roots released a five-song self-titled EP in May\, giving the band fresh material heading into its summer shows. \nThe Northern Roots\nBosse formed The Northern Roots with drummer John Spaulding in 2014\, building a band of musicians from Connecticut and Rhode Island around his country songwriting. \nThe group’s broader instrumentation is where Bosse’s different influences begin to meet. The Nick Bosse concert is one of its larger Summer Music Nights\, with a Saturday evening time slot and separate admission. \nThe property combines its tasting room with broad outdoor spaces and vineyard views.
