Consider this your invitation to celebrate our hometown heroes before they head to Chicago next month! \nAttendees at Mystic River Park will celebrate award finalists David Standridge of The Shipwright’s Daughter in Mystic\, who has been nominated for Outstanding Chef\, and David DiStasi of Materia Ristorante\, who has been nominated for Best Chef: Northeast. We will also recognize The Port of Call in Mystic\, which has been nominated for Outstanding Wine and Other Beverages Program. All three nominations are featured in highly competitive categories and are sure to bring regional bragging rights to our fellow Connecticut food and beverage enthusiasts. \nThis year’s James Beard Awards will be held Monday\, June 15\, and will shine a light on some of the nation’s best food\, wine\, and spirits. SUMMARY:2026 Mystic Summer Sounds Concert
DESCRIPTION:2026 Mystic Summer Sounds Concert returns to Mystic River Park for another season of free outdoor music along the waterfront. Hosted by the Noank-Mystic Community Band\, the popular summer series takes place at Mystic River Park on Cottrell Street beside the Mystic Drawbridge\, offering residents and visitors an opportunity to enjoy live music in one of the shoreline’s most scenic settings. \nConcerts are held on Tuesday evenings throughout the summer\, with performances generally beginning at 7 p.m. The opening concert on June 9 features Mystic Pipes & Drums at 6:30 p.m.\, followed by the Noank-Mystic Community Band at 7 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs\, blankets\, and picnic dinners while enjoying an evening of music overlooking the Mystic River. Admission is free\, and alcohol is not permitted in the park. \nThe series features a diverse lineup of community bands\, jazz ensembles\, military musicians\, and traditional concert bands from across Connecticut and Rhode Island.
