SUMMARY:The Ultimate Doors in the Great Cedar Showroom at Foxwoods Resort Casino
DESCRIPTION:The Ultimate Doors in the Great Cedar Showroom at Foxwoods Resort Casino brings the music\, atmosphere\, and unmistakable stage presence of one of rock’s most influential bands on Saturday\, August 29. \nThe concert begins at 8 p.m.\, but it isn’t a typical night of musicians playing familiar Doors songs. The four members of The Ultimate Doors have built their show around something far more ambitious: recreating the experience of seeing Jim Morrison\, Ray Manzarek\, Robby Krieger and John Densmore perform during The Doors’ late-1960s prime. \nPeriod-correct instruments\, vintage equipment\, wardrobe and even the arrangement of the musicians onstage are part of the illusion. \nFor a couple of hours\, they’re trying to make 2026 disappear. \nFour Musicians Recreating Four Originals\nThe Ultimate Doors deliberately maintains the four-man configuration of the original band. \nDarrian Kenney takes the Jim Morrison role on vocals. Branden Eifrid handles organ and keyboards in the Ray Manzarek position\, Todd Huffman takes Robby Krieger’s guitar role and Jordyn Huffman sits behind the drums in the place occupied by John Densmore. \nThat configuration matters more with The Doors than it might with many other rock bands. \nThe original group didn’t rely on a traditional full-time bass guitarist onstage. Manzarek frequently supplied bass lines with his keyboards while simultaneously contributing the swirling organ sound that became one of The Doors’ musical signatures. \nKrieger brought influences ranging from blues to flamenco guitar\, while Densmore’s jazz background gave the rhythm section an unusual looseness. \nThen Morrison stood at the front of it all. \nThe combination produced a band that was immediately identifiable\, even before he started singing. \nThis Is Supposed to Be 1968\nThe Ultimate Doors isn’t trying to imagine what The Doors might sound like today. \nThe target is much more specific. \n\n\n\nBy then\, The Doors had exploded out of Los Angeles with their 1967 self-titled debut and followed it with Strange Days. In 1968\, Waiting for the Sun became the band’s first No. 1 album in the United States\, while “Hello\, I Love You” reached No. 1 on the singles chart. \nJim Morrison had become one of the defining figures of the counterculture\, and The Doors had developed a reputation for concerts that could feel theatrical\, unpredictable and occasionally dangerous. \nThat’s the period The Ultimate Doors wants audiences to enter. \nThey Sweat the Small Stuff\nPlaying the songs correctly is only part of the job. \nThe Ultimate Doors uses period-correct instruments and vintage-style gear chosen to reproduce the tones of the original recordings and concerts. \nThe band also pays attention to how that equipment is positioned onstage\, how the musicians dress and how the performance itself looks. \nIt’s an unusually obsessive approach to the tribute-band idea. \nThere’s a practical reason for some of it. A vintage-style organ isn’t simply a stage prop when you’re recreating Ray Manzarek. The equipment is responsible for a major part of the sound. \nBut some details exist purely to complete the illusion. \nThe wardrobe matters. The stage arrangement matters. The way Kenney inhabits Morrison’s role matters. \nEven the microphone cable can matter. \nThe goal isn’t to remind you of The Doors. \nIt’s to make you briefly forget you’re watching anybody else. \nSomeone Who Was There Put Them to the Test\nPlenty of tribute bands have glowing quotes from fans. \nThe Ultimate Doors has something considerably harder to dismiss. \nGareth Blyth worked as a roadie for the real Doors from 1969 through 1971. \nBlyth’s experience wasn’t limited to hauling equipment. He worked soundchecks with Jim Morrison\, tuned Robby Krieger’s guitars and worked alongside producer Paul Rothchild and recording engineer Bruce Botnick. At one point\, when John Densmore developed blisters\, Blyth even sat behind Densmore’s drum kit. \nDecades later\, he saw The Ultimate Doors. \nBlyth wasn’t predisposed to love the idea. By his own account\, cover bands generally aren’t his thing. \nWhat caught his attention was the detail. \nHe recognized the equipment. He noticed that it was positioned correctly. He recognized the wardrobe and presentation. More importantly\, he thought the four musicians could actually play the material. \nComing from someone who had stood onstage and backstage with the real band\, that’s a considerably different endorsement than a five-star review from somebody who heard “Light My Fire” on the radio. \nMore Than “Light My Fire”\nThe Doors left behind one of the most recognizable catalogs of the classic-rock era. \n“Light My Fire” is unavoidable\, but the songbook reaches much further. \n“Break On Through (To the Other Side)” introduced the band on its first album. “People Are Strange” captured its darker psychedelic side. “Hello\, I Love You” gave the group another massive pop hit. \nThen there are songs such as “Roadhouse Blues\,” “Love Her Madly\,” “Riders on the Storm” and “L.A. Woman\,” recorded as the band’s sound continued evolving. \nA convincing Doors show also needs room for the stranger material. \nSongs such as “Alabama Song (Whisky Bar)\,” “Back Door Man” and “Five to One” reveal the blues\, theatrical and experimental elements that made the original group harder to categorize than its biggest radio hits suggest. \nThe Ultimate Doors has incorporated that deeper material into its performances rather than treating the catalog as a classic-rock jukebox. \nThe Morrison Problem\nEvery Doors tribute eventually runs into the same problem. \nJim Morrison wasn’t merely the lead singer. \nHis baritone voice\, movements\, poetry\, unpredictability and almost confrontational relationship with audiences became inseparable from the band’s identity. \nTry too hard to imitate him and the performance becomes parody. \nDon’t go far enough and it stops feeling like The Doors. \nDarrian Kenney has to occupy the space between those extremes\, recreating the visual and vocal presence audiences expect while allowing the musicians behind him to do what ultimately made Morrison’s performances work in the first place. \nThere was a very good band behind the mythology. \nThat’s why The Ultimate Doors’ attention to Manzarek\, Krieger and Densmore is just as important as finding somebody who can wear the leather pants. \nFrom Los Angeles to the Great Cedar Showroom\nSaturday’s performance takes place inside Foxwoods’ Great Cedar Showroom. \nThe venue is one of the resort’s more intimate entertainment spaces\, a very different experience from seeing a concert in the much larger Premier Theater. \nThat smaller room should work particularly well for a Doors recreation. \nThe original group emerged from the clubs of Los Angeles rather than arenas\, developing its identity at venues such as the London Fog and Whisky a Go Go before becoming internationally famous. \nA close audience and relatively compact stage put some of that intimacy back into the music. \nBefore You Go\nThe Ultimate Doors performs at 8 p.m. Saturday inside the Great Cedar Showroom at Foxwoods Resort Casino. \nFoxwoods recommends the Grand Pequot Tower for the most convenient parking for the show. \nGuests should also pay attention to the resort’s bag rules before leaving the car. Shopping bags and backpacks aren’t permitted in the venue\, and permitted bags are subject to search. \nThen it’s through the doors and\, at least for the duration of the concert\, back toward 1968. \nEvent Details\nEvent: The Ultimate Doors: Tribute to The Doors\nDate: Saturday\, August 29\, 2026\nTime: 8 p.m.\nLocation: Great Cedar Showroom at Foxwoods Resort Casino\nAddress: 350 Trolley Line Boulevard\, Mashantucket\, CT 06338\nBest Parking: Grand Pequot Tower\nPerformer: The Ultimate Doors\nMusic: Tribute to The Doors\nBand: Darrian Kenney\, vocals; Branden Eifrid\, organ; Todd Huffman\, guitar; Jordyn Huffman\, percussion\nBag Policy: No shopping bags or backpacks; all permitted bags are subject to search \nThe Ultimate Doors recreates the late-1960s Doors experience using a four-piece lineup\, period-correct instruments\, vintage equipment\, wardrobe and stage presentation inspired by the original band. \nMore information is available at the Event Website link below. \nTo purchase tickets\, click the Event Ticketing link below. \n\n  \nFeatured image is an artistic representation inspired by the event and may not depict the actual people\, location\, or activities shown. \n

SUMMARY:Grand Funk Railroad at Foxwoods
DESCRIPTION:Grand Funk Railroad at Foxwoods brings one of the defining American rock bands of the 1970s to the Great Cedar Showroom on Friday\, September 4\, as the band rolls into Mashantucket on its Still Shinin’ On Tour 2026. \nMore than 55 years after Grand Funk Railroad emerged from Flint\, Michigan\, founding members Don Brewer and Mel Schacher are still carrying the band onto stages around the country. The current tour arrives at Foxwoods with a catalog that includes “We’re an American Band\,” “I’m Your Captain (Closer to Home)\,” “The Loco-Motion\,” “Some Kind of Wonderful\,” “Walk Like a Man” and “Bad Time.” \nThe concert begins at 8 p.m. \nThree Musicians From Flint\nGrand Funk Railroad began in 1969 with guitarist and singer Mark Farner\, drummer and singer Don Brewer and bassist Mel Schacher. \nThey came from Flint\, Michigan\, an industrial city that provided an appropriate birthplace for a band built around volume\, heavy rhythm and a stripped-down power-trio sound. \nTheir ascent was remarkably fast. \nA performance at the Atlanta International Pop Festival in 1969 helped introduce the new band to a much larger audience. Grand Funk soon developed a reputation as a formidable live act\, touring relentlessly while building an audience that didn’t necessarily wait for rock critics to tell them what to like. \nThe records followed. \nBy the early 1970s\, Grand Funk had become one of America’s biggest rock bands. \nWhen Grand Funk Filled Shea Stadium\nOne concert became part of Grand Funk Railroad lore. \nIn 1971\, the band played New York’s Shea Stadium\, the ballpark where The Beatles had staged their famous 1965 concert. \nGrand Funk’s show demonstrated just how enormous the band’s audience had become. \nIt also captured something essential about Grand Funk Railroad’s success. This was a band built for the era when rock music was moving from theaters and ballrooms into arenas and stadiums. \nThe music had to fill those spaces. \nGrand Funk could. \nHeavy bass\, pounding drums\, loud guitars and songs constructed around riffs and choruses translated particularly well to huge crowds. \nThat live reputation remains a central part of the band’s identity more than half a century later. \n“I’m Your Captain” Became an FM Radio Landmark\nBefore Grand Funk became “An American Band\,” it produced one of the great extended rock songs of its era. \n“I’m Your Captain (Closer to Home)” appeared on the band’s 1970 album Closer to Home. \nThe recording moves through two distinct sections\, beginning with the story of a captain pleading with his crew before transitioning into the repeated “I’m getting closer to my home” finale. \nAt roughly 10 minutes\, the album version was made for the emerging world of FM rock radio\, where stations were increasingly willing to play songs that didn’t fit neatly into the traditional three-minute single. \nDecades later\, “I’m Your Captain” remains one of the songs most closely associated with Grand Funk Railroad. \nThen came the record that changed the band’s identity altogether. \nGrand Funk Becomes “An American Band”\nIn 1973\, Grand Funk Railroad released We’re an American Band. \nThe title track was written and sung by Don Brewer\, who also played drums on the recording. \nIt went to No. 1. \nThe song turned life on the road into a rock anthem\, complete with hotel rooms\, late nights\, concerts and the declaration that gave Grand Funk a nickname it still uses today: \nThe American Band. \nThe album also represented an important shift for Grand Funk. Todd Rundgren produced the record\, helping refine the band’s massive live sound into something that worked particularly well on radio. \nThe result became Grand Funk’s first No. 1 single. \nIt wouldn’t be the last. \nA 1960s Pop Song Becomes a Grand Funk No. 1\nOne year later\, Grand Funk Railroad did something that shouldn’t necessarily have worked. \nThey recorded “The Loco-Motion.” \nThe song had already been a No. 1 hit for Little Eva in 1962\, a bright piece of early-’60s pop about a dance craze. \nGrand Funk turned it into a muscular 1970s rock record. \nTheir version also went to No. 1. \nThat made “The Loco-Motion” one of the relatively rare songs to reach the top of the American charts in versions by two different artists. \nGrand Funk followed with another enormously successful remake\, “Some Kind of Wonderful\,” originally recorded by Soul Brothers Six. \nThe Grand Funk version reached the Top 10 and became another enduring part of the band’s live repertoire. \nBy then\, Grand Funk had demonstrated that it could move between hard rock\, soul\, pop and radio-friendly arena rock without losing the rhythmic weight that made the band recognizable. \nDon Brewer and Mel Schacher Are Still There\nThe Grand Funk Railroad arriving at Foxwoods isn’t the original trio. \nMark Farner hasn’t been a member of the current touring band for decades. \nBut two musicians who stood onstage when Grand Funk began in 1969 remain in the lineup. \nDon Brewer is still behind the drums and singing. In addition to writing and singing “We’re an American Band\,” Brewer provided vocals on Grand Funk recordings including “Walk Like a Man” and “Some Kind of Wonderful.” \nMel Schacher remains on bass\, preserving another essential part of the original Grand Funk sound. \nThe band’s current lineup also includes Tim Cashion on vocals and keyboards and guitarist Mark Chatfield\, a veteran of Bob Seger’s Silver Bullet Band. \nThat makes the 2026 version of Grand Funk an unusual combination: two musicians from the original 1969 band surrounded by players with their own long histories in American rock. \nA Change Behind the Microphone in 2026\nThis year’s tour also marks a significant transition for Grand Funk Railroad. \nLongtime lead singer Max Carl retired from touring and performing in April 2026 following a medical issue. \nCarl had spent 26 years with Grand Funk and was a familiar voice to generations of fans who saw the band after its return to regular touring in 2000. Outside Grand Funk\, he is particularly well known for his work with .38 Special\, including singing and co-writing “Second Chance.” \nHis retirement brought Tim Cashion into a larger vocal role in the current lineup. \nCashion isn’t new to the road. His career has included work with artists including Robert Palmer and Bob Seger. \nSo the Foxwoods show provides Connecticut fans with a look at a newly configured Grand Funk Railroad during a year of transition for the veteran band. \nStill Shinin’ On After 57 Years\nGrand Funk is calling its 2026 run the Still Shinin’ On Tour. \nThe title reaches back to “Shinin’ On\,” the opening track from the band’s 1974 album of the same name. \nThe numbers behind those 57 years are substantial. \nGrand Funk Railroad reports more than 25 million albums sold\, 19 charting singles and eight Top 40 hits. Its recording history includes seven gold and 10 platinum certifications. \nBut numbers don’t entirely explain why a band formed in Flint in 1969 can still fill a concert schedule in 2026. \nThe songs do. \n“We’re an American Band” remains instantly recognizable from its opening drumbeat. “Some Kind of Wonderful” still invites an audience response. “The Loco-Motion” crosses generations that may have first encountered the song through entirely different performers. \nAnd “I’m Your Captain” can still transport an FM-rock listener back to an era when a 10-minute song didn’t need to apologize for taking its time. \nOn September 4\, those songs return to a Connecticut stage. \nGrand Funk Railroad is still comin’ to our town. \nEvent Details\nEvent: Grand Funk Railroad – Still Shinin’ On Tour\nDate: Friday\, September 4\, 2026\nTime: 8 p.m.\nLocation: Great Cedar Showroom at Foxwoods Resort Casino\nAddress: 350 Trolley Line Boulevard\, Mashantucket\, CT 06338\nPerformers: Don Brewer\, Mel Schacher\, Tim Cashion and Mark Chatfield\nTour: Still Shinin’ On Tour 2026\nBest Parking: Grand Pequot Tower\nBag Policy: No shopping bags or backpacks permitted; all bags are subject to search \nMore information is available at the Event Website link below. \nTo purchase tickets\, click the Event Ticketing link below. \n  \nFeatured image is an artistic representation inspired by the event and may not depict the actual people\, location\, or activities shown. \n

SUMMARY:Beatles vs. Stones – A Musical Showdown at Foxwoods
DESCRIPTION:Beatles vs. Stones – A Musical Showdown at Foxwoods puts rock’s most enduring argument onstage Saturday\, September 5\, when two nationally touring tribute bands face off at the Great Cedar Showroom. \nOn one side is Abbey Road\, recreating the music and changing looks of The Beatles. On the other is Satisfaction – The International Rolling Stones Show\, taking on Mick Jagger\, Keith Richards and the Stones. \nThis isn’t a conventional double bill. The bands alternate sets throughout the night\, answering one Beatles run with a Stones run before eventually putting the rivalry aside and joining together for the finale. \nThe question hanging over all of it has survived for more than 60 years. \nBeatles or Stones? \nLiverpool vs. London\nThe rivalry was almost irresistible from the beginning. \nThe Beatles arrived as four young men from Liverpool in matching suits\, with carefully arranged harmonies\, enormous pop hooks and the kind of screaming audience reaction that quickly became known as Beatlemania. \nThe Rolling Stones offered something different. \nThey were bluesier. Rougher around the edges. Mick Jagger prowled across the stage. Keith Richards looked considerably less interested in behaving himself. \nIf The Beatles could be presented as the boys parents might reluctantly allow their daughters to meet\, the Stones were marketed as the alternative. \nThat contrast helped create one of popular music’s great dividing lines. \nWere you a Beatles person or a Stones person? \nBeatles vs. Stones builds an entire show around making you choose again. \nAbbey Road Takes the Beatles Side\nRepresenting the Fab Four is Abbey Road\, a Beatles tribute band that doesn’t limit itself to one period of the group’s career. \nThat matters because The Beatles changed dramatically in a remarkably short amount of time. \nThe band that appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show in February 1964\, dressed in matching suits and singing “All My Loving” and “I Want to Hold Your Hand\,” looked and sounded very different from the group that created Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band just three years later. \nAbbey Road uses costumes\, instruments and staging to follow that evolution. \nThe early Beatles give way to the increasingly experimental music and imagery of the later 1960s\, allowing the show to move through different chapters of a career that lasted only about a decade but changed popular music. \nSatisfaction Answers for the Stones\nThen it’s the Rolling Stones’ turn. \nSatisfaction – The International Rolling Stones Show has been touring its tribute to the band for years\, with Chris LeGrand taking on the role of Mick Jagger. \nThat’s a formidable assignment. \nJagger isn’t simply a singer whose songs need to be performed accurately. His movement\, mannerisms and stage presence became part of the identity of the Rolling Stones. \nAnd the Stones catalog provides plenty of ammunition for a musical showdown. \n“(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.” \n“Jumpin’ Jack Flash.” \n“Paint It Black.” \n“Sympathy for the Devil.” \n“Gimme Shelter.” \n“Start Me Up.” \nThe songs span decades because the Rolling Stones did something their supposed rivals never had the opportunity to do. \nThey kept going. \nThe Beatles Had Seven Years. The Stones Had Decades.\nThis is where comparing the two bands becomes almost unfair. \nThe Beatles released their first UK single\, “Love Me Do\,” in 1962. By 1970\, the band was over. \nTheir period as international superstars was even shorter. \nYet during that compressed stretch\, John Lennon\, Paul McCartney\, George Harrison and Ringo Starr moved from Beatlemania through increasingly sophisticated studio albums including Rubber Soul\, Revolver\, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band\, The Beatles and Abbey Road. \nThe Rolling Stones took another route. \nFormed in London in 1962\, they built their early identity around American blues and R&B before Mick Jagger and Keith Richards developed into one of rock’s defining songwriting partnerships. \nThen they survived. \nPersonnel changed. Musical fashions changed. Punk arrived. Disco arrived. MTV arrived. Grunge arrived. \nThe Stones remained. \nThat longevity became part of their argument in the great Beatles-versus-Stones debate. \nThe Beatles changed music extraordinarily quickly. \nThe Stones became one of rock’s ultimate survivors. \nThe Rivalry Wasn’t Quite What We Remember\nThere’s one problem with the great Beatles-Stones feud. \nThe actual musicians didn’t behave much like mortal enemies. \nThe bands certainly competed\, and comparisons between them were unavoidable\, but their relationship was considerably friendlier than the mythology suggests. \nJohn Lennon and Paul McCartney even gave the Stones a song. \n“I Wanna Be Your Man\,” written by Lennon and McCartney\, became an early Rolling Stones single in 1963. The Beatles subsequently released their own version with Ringo Starr singing lead. \nMembers of the two groups socialized and followed each other’s work as both bands helped transform British popular music. \nThe public rivalry was simply too good to resist. \nThe clean-cut Beatles versus the dangerous Stones. \nPop versus blues. \nLiverpool versus London. \nLennon and McCartney versus Jagger and Richards. \nMore than six decades later\, that argument is still selling tickets. \nThey Never Gave Us the Concert This Show Imagines\nHere’s what makes the premise particularly fun. \nThe Beatles and Rolling Stones never gave audiences the great head-to-head concert that rock history seems to demand. \nThe Beatles stopped touring in 1966\, years before the stadium-rock era fully developed. \nBeatles vs. Stones – A Musical Showdown was created decades later to imagine what might have happened if the two catalogs had actually shared a stage. \nThe touring production launched in 2011 and has since played across the United States and internationally\, including extended casino showroom residencies. \nInstead of placing one tribute band before the other\, the production turns the competition into the structure of the show. \nAbbey Road plays. \nSatisfaction responds. \nThen it’s back to The Beatles. \nThen back to the Stones. \nThe two sides trade sets\, songs and a little trash talk along the way. \nSo Who Wins?\nThat’s up to the audience. \nMaybe it’s The Beatles\, with the extraordinary progression from “I Want to Hold Your Hand” to “A Day in the Life” in the space of just a few years. \nMaybe it’s the Stones\, with the opening riff of “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction\,” the menace of “Gimme Shelter” and a catalog built across decades. \nOr maybe the premise eventually collapses for the same reason the original rivalry did. \nYou don’t actually have to choose. \nFoxwoods says Abbey Road and Satisfaction will come together onstage for the show’s encore\, turning the musical shootout into something the real Beatles and Rolling Stones never gave audiences. \nBoth bands. \nOne stage. \nAnd after more than 60 years of arguing about it\, probably no definitive winner. \nEvent Details\nEvent: Beatles vs. Stones – A Musical Showdown\nDate: Saturday\, September 5\, 2026\nTime: 8 p.m.\nLocation: Great Cedar Showroom at Foxwoods Resort Casino\nAddress: 350 Trolley Line Boulevard\, Mashantucket\, CT 06338\nBeatles Tribute: Abbey Road\nRolling Stones Tribute: Satisfaction – The International Rolling Stones Show\nFormat: Alternating sets followed by a joint encore\nGenre: Classic Rock\nBest Parking: Grand Pequot Tower\nBag Policy: No shopping bags or backpacks permitted; all bags are subject to search \nMore information is available at the Event Website link below. \nTo purchase tickets\, click the Event Ticketing link below. \n\nFeatured image is an artistic representation inspired by the event and may not depict the actual people\, location\, or activities shown. \n

SUMMARY:Gabriel Iglesias
DESCRIPTION:If you’ve ever seen Gabriel Iglesias live… You already know it’s not just stand-up\, it’s an experience. His current tour keeps that same high-energy\, storytelling style that made him a fan favorite\, mixing personal stories\, voices\, and those perfectly timed sound effects that somehow turn simple moments into full-blown scenes. It’s fast\, it’s animated\, and it feels like he’s pulling you into his world instead of just performing at you. \nWhat makes his shows hit is how approachable everything feels. He’ll jump from family stories to everyday frustrations to those random observations that shouldn’t be funny… but are. And then he’ll layer in the characters\, the voices\, the little details that build each bit into something bigger. You’re not just listening to jokes… you’re watching them play out. That’s where the laughs really start stacking up. \nLive\, it turns into a full-room kind of energy. Big reactions\, constant laughs\, and that feeling that the entire crowd is in sync with him. He knows how to ride that momentum too… stretching moments\, playing off reactions\, letting the night breathe a little. If you’re looking for comedy that’s lively\, visual\, and built for a crowd\, his tour delivers that in a way that feels effortless but hits every time.

SUMMARY:Lee Brice: Sunriser Tour at Foxwoods
DESCRIPTION:Lee Brice: Sunriser Tour at Foxwoods brings one of country music’s most successful singer-songwriters to the Premier Theater on Friday\, September 18\, for an 8 p.m. show built around a catalog that has produced nine No. 1 country singles and more than 10 billion career streams. \nBrice has spent the better part of two decades moving between two sides of Nashville. He’s the rough-edged baritone behind hits including I Drive Your Truck\, I Don’t Dance\, Rumor\, One of Them Girls and A Woman Like You. But before much of the country knew his voice\, other stars were already singing his songs. \nGarth Brooks\, Kenny Chesney\, Jason Aldean and Tim McGraw are among the artists who have recorded Brice’s work. That songwriting background remains central to a career that has earned him CMA and ACM awards\, a Grammy nomination and a collection of multi-Platinum records. \nNine Trips to No. 1\nThere isn’t one particular kind of Lee Brice hit. \nDrinking Class is a working-week anthem. Rumor rides a considerably more soulful groove. A Woman Like You and I Don’t Dance move toward romance\, while I Hope You’re Happy Now\, his duet with Carly Pearce\, is about two people discovering that moving on isn’t nearly as clean as it sounds. \nThen there’s I Drive Your Truck. \nThe 2012 recording became one of the defining songs of Brice’s career\, telling the story of someone coping with a loved one’s death by climbing into his truck and driving. \nThe song was inspired by the real story of Army Sgt. 1st Class Jared Monti\, who was killed in Afghanistan in 2006 while attempting to rescue a fellow soldier and was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor. Monti’s father\, Paul\, kept his son’s Dodge Ram and drove it as a way of remaining connected to him. \nBrice didn’t write I Drive Your Truck — Jessi Alexander\, Connie Harrington and Jimmy Yeary did — but his performance helped turn it into a major country hit. The song won Song of the Year at both the CMA and ACM awards. \nIt’s also a useful example of what Brice does particularly well. His biggest recordings often depend less on vocal gymnastics than on making a story sound believable. \nHe Was a Hit Songwriter Before He Was a Country Star\nBrice understands the relationship between a songwriter and the artist who eventually makes a song his own because he’s been on both sides of it. \nOne of his biggest early breaks came without his name on the front of the record. \nBrice co-wrote Garth Brooks’ More Than a Memory with Billy Montana and Kyle Jacobs. When Brooks released the song in 2007\, it did something no single had previously accomplished in the history of Billboard’s country chart: it debuted at No. 1. \nBy then\, Brice had begun landing songs with other performers as well. \nJason Aldean recorded his material. So did Tim McGraw. Kenny Chesney would eventually join the list. \nBrice was simultaneously trying to establish himself as a recording artist\, but that side of his career took longer to catch. \nHis breakthrough finally arrived with Love Like Crazy. The song spent 56 weeks on Billboard’s country chart\, establishing Brice as more than the songwriter whose work other singers were recording. \nThen the hits began stacking up. \nHis nine country-radio No. 1 singles now include A Woman Like You\, Hard to Love\, I Drive Your Truck\, I Don’t Dance\, Drinking Class\, Rumor\, I Hope You’re Happy Now\, One of Them Girls and Memory I Don’t Mess With. \nFrom Clemson Football to Nashville\nThere was a point when music wasn’t Brice’s only possible future. \nBorn in Sumter\, South Carolina\, he grew up singing in church\, started playing piano at 7 and moved on to guitar. By 10\, he was already writing songs. \nBut he was also an athlete. \nBrice played football at Clemson University before an arm injury helped redirect his attention toward music. Nashville eventually became the destination\, and songwriting became his way into the industry. \nThat history helps explain the mix that still runs through his records. \nThere’s traditional Nashville songcraft underneath music that freely borrows from rock and pop. Brice can make a large room work with a song like Parking Lot Party and then turn around and build a performance around something as restrained as I Don’t Dance. \nThe latter is particularly personal. \nBrice wrote I Don’t Dance for his wife\, Sara\, and performed it at their wedding before eventually recording and releasing it. It became another No. 1 and one of his signature love songs. \n“One of Them Girls” Had a Historic Awards Run\nBy 2020\, Brice was more than a decade removed from his first album\, but some of the biggest successes of his career were still ahead. \nOne of Them Girls became his longest-running No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart and eventually earned an unusual sweep of songwriting honors. \nThe track was named Song of the Year by the Academy of Country Music and also received song-of-the-year recognition from ASCAP and BMI. \nAround the same period\, Brice joined Carly Pearce for I Hope You’re Happy Now. \nThe duet won Musical Event of the Year at the CMA Awards and both Single of the Year and Music Event of the Year at the ACM Awards. \nThose songs appeared on Brice’s 2020 album Hey World\, which has since been certified Platinum. \nRather than settling into the role of a country nostalgia act built around 2010s hits\, Brice had managed to add another group of career-defining songs a decade after his breakthrough. \nThe Next Chapter Includes “Cry\,” Country Friends and Colbie Caillat\nBrice’s recent recordings continue moving between solo material and collaboration. \nIn 2025\, he released Cry\, followed by Said No Country Boy Ever\, which brought him together with longtime Nashville friends Jamey Johnson\, Randy Houser\, Jerrod Niemann\, Dallas Davidson and Rob Hatch. \nHe’s also teamed with Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Colbie Caillat for the duet Kinda Single. \nThe collaborations make sense for an artist whose career has always been intertwined with Nashville’s songwriting community. Brice isn’t simply handed songs after the writing is finished. He’s a songwriter himself\, with 11 co-writing credits on his 2020 Hey World album alone and decades of experience writing both for himself and other artists. \nThe Sunriser Tour gives him a catalog broad enough to move between those newer releases and songs that have been country-radio fixtures for years. \nThe Premier Theater Keeps the Show Short of Arena Scale\nFoxwoods is putting Brice in the Premier Theater\, its primary room for major touring concerts and comedians. \nThe theater sits inside The Fox Tower and offers something different from seeing the same performer in an arena. It’s large enough for a full touring production but considerably more contained\, with reserved seating and relatively close sightlines throughout much of the room. \nFoxwoods recommends The Fox Tower for the most convenient parking. \nAnyone attending should also pay attention to the theater’s bag rules. Shopping bags and backpacks aren’t permitted\, and all bags are subject to search. Ticketmaster also specifies that guests must use their assigned seats and that smoking is prohibited in and around the theater. \nFood and drinks can be purchased inside the venue\, while the surrounding resort offers considerably more options for anyone making dinner part of the night. \nOne Night\, a Lot of Country Radio History\nA Lee Brice concert presents an interesting problem when it comes time to build a setlist. \nLeave out A Woman Like You and you’re skipping a No. 1. The same is true of Hard to Love. And I Drive Your Truck. And I Don’t Dance. And Drinking Class. \nThen come Rumor\, I Hope You’re Happy Now\, One of Them Girls and Memory I Don’t Mess With. \nThat’s before getting to Love Like Crazy\, Parking Lot Party or the newer music. \nThe result is a Friday night at Foxwoods that can function as both a current tour stop and something approaching a survey of mainstream country music from the past 15 years. \nAnd underneath much of it is the part of Lee Brice’s career that started before the fame: a songwriter who figured out how to make the stories he wrote for other people work just as well when he stepped behind the microphone himself. \nDetails\nEvent: Lee Brice: Sunriser Tour\nDate: Friday\, September 18\, 2026\nTime: 8 p.m.\nPerformer: Lee Brice\nTour: Sunriser Tour\nMusic: Country\nVenue: Premier Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino\nAddress: 39 Norwich-Westerly Road\, Mashantucket\, CT 06339\nSeating: Reserved seating; guests must sit in their assigned seats\nBest Parking: The Fox Tower\nBag Policy: No shopping bags or backpacks; all bags are subject to search\nSmoking: No smoking in or around the Premier Theater \nMore information is available at the Event Website link below. \nTo purchase tickets\, click the Event Ticketing link below. \n  \nFeatured image is an artistic representation inspired by the event and may not depict the actual people\, location\, or activities shown.

SUMMARY:Jon Kondelik’s Adult Bingo Turns Bingo Into an X-Rated Comedy Game Show at Mohegan Sun
DESCRIPTION:Jon Kondelik’s Adult Bingo takes the familiar bingo card\, throws out the church-basement atmosphere and replaces it with comedians\, risqué games and decidedly adult prizes Friday\, September 18\, at Comix Comedy Club inside Mohegan Sun. \nCalling this simply “bingo” doesn’t quite explain it. \nComix presents the 10 p.m. show as part of its Comix Uncensored lineup\, combining actual bingo with an interactive\, adults-only comedy game show. Players still get cards. Numbers still get called. Someone can still win. \nIt’s everything happening between those numbers that makes this a very different Friday night. \nYes\, You Really Do Play Bingo\nThe bingo part isn’t merely a name attached to a comedy show. \nEvery guest receives one bingo card and one dabber. Players who want more chances can purchase additional sheets for $5\, with three bingo cards on each uncut sheet. \nBut conventional bingo is only the framework. \nComix describes the show as mixing adult-themed bingo rounds\, risqué mini-games and naughty prizes\, with the competition punctuated by comedy and audience interaction. \nThat also explains the late starting time. \nThe show begins at 10 p.m. and is restricted to guests 21 and older. \nJon Kondelik Is Running the Game\nComedian\, actor\, writer and filmmaker Jon Kondelik serves as the show’s game-show host. \nKondelik came to stand-up after spending years working in the film business. His screen work has included independent films and television projects\, and his acting credits have put him in productions alongside performers including Danny Trejo\, LeVar Burton\, Mariel Hemingway and Ethan Suplee. \nHis career also comes with a particularly unusual piece of personal history. \nKondelik lost several fingers in a special-effects makeup accident in 2011\, an experience that subsequently became part of his comedy material and public story. \nFor Adult Bingo\, however\, he isn’t simply delivering a stand-up set. \nHe’s essentially the ringmaster. \nThree Comedians Join the Competition\nComix says Kondelik will be joined onstage by three comedian participants and one additional “naughty host.” \nThat structure moves the night closer to an adult game show than a traditional comedy-club performance. \nThe comedians become part of the competition and entertainment while the audience plays along from the room. \nComix hasn’t announced the participating comedians for the September 18 edition\, so there’s also an element of surprise built into the evening. \nAnd given the show’s uncensored billing\, this probably isn’t the night to bring someone who gets uncomfortable when the conversation turns sexual. \nThe Prizes Aren’t Exactly Bingo-Hall Gift Baskets\nComix deliberately keeps some mystery around what players can win\, describing the rewards simply as “spicy prizes.” \nThat’s probably enough information. \nThe larger point is that Adult Bingo is designed as a late-night comedy event rather than serious competitive gambling. The bingo cards give everyone something to play while Kondelik and the other performers keep the room moving through jokes\, games and whatever unexpected situations emerge from the format. \nIt’s participatory comedy with a bingo card in front of you. \nIt’s Part of Comix’s Late-Night Side\nComix Roadhouse occupies an unusual niche inside Mohegan Sun. \nIt’s simultaneously a restaurant\, bar\, live-music venue and comedy club\, with programming ranging from touring stand-up comics and comedy magic to line dancing\, live bands\, drag bingo\, burlesque and other late-night shows. \nThe September 18 calendar demonstrates the range particularly well. \nComedian Erik Griffin performs at 8 p.m. in the Comedy Club before Adult Bingo takes over the late-night slot at 10. \nElsewhere in the Roadhouse that night\, the band He Said She Said is scheduled to perform. \nSo someone arriving early for bingo doesn’t have to make the show the beginning of the evening. \nDinner Before Naughty Bingo Is an Option\nComix specifically encourages Adult Bingo ticket holders to arrive early and eat in the Roadhouse before the show. \nThe restaurant serves a broad American roadhouse menu alongside regional craft beer and cocktails\, making it possible to turn the event into dinner and a show without leaving Mohegan Sun. \nThere is a $10 food-and-beverage minimum associated with Adult Bingo. \nThe venue remains open well after the show’s 10 p.m. starting time on Fridays. \nDefinitely Not the Bingo You Played With Grandma\nThere’s a reason Comix keeps emphasizing that distinction in its promotion. \nThe mechanics are familiar. \nThe atmosphere isn’t. \nThis is bingo reworked for a comedy-club crowd: a card and dabber in front of you\, comedians onstage\, adult humor\, suggestive games and prizes that Comix apparently believes are better left to the imagination until you get there. \nFor readers scrolling through the weekend calendar and wondering exactly what the words “Adult Bingo” are hiding\, that’s the answer. \nQuite a bit\, apparently. \nDetails\nEvent: Jon Kondelik’s Adult Bingo\nDate: Friday\, September 18\, 2026\nTime: 10 p.m.\nVenue: Comix Comedy Club at Comix Roadhouse\nLocation: Mohegan Sun\, Casino of the Earth\nAddress: 1 Mohegan Sun Boulevard\, Uncasville\, CT 06382\nFormat: X-rated comedy game show\, bingo and adult-themed mini-games\nHost: Jon Kondelik\nAge: 21+\nIncluded: One bingo card and one dabber per guest\nAdditional Bingo Cards: $5 per sheet\, with three cards per uncut sheet\nFood & Beverage Minimum: $10\nSeating: First come\, first served\nAccessibility: Assistive listening is available; inquire at the front desk\nPhone: 860-862-7000 \nMore information is available at the Event Website link below. \nTo purchase tickets\, click the Event Ticketing link below. \n  \n  \nFeatured image is an artistic representation inspired by the event and may not depict the actual people\, location\, or activities shown.

SUMMARY:The Best of Steve Martin & Martin Short
DESCRIPTION:There’s something kind of rare about watching two comedy legends who genuinely enjoy messing with each other… and that’s exactly what you get with *The Best of Steve Martin & Martin Short* tour. It’s not just stand-up\, and it’s not quite a traditional show either… it lands somewhere in between\, blending sharp jokes\, playful jabs\, and decades of shared history into something that feels loose but incredibly dialed in. From the moment they step on stage\, the tone is set: this is going to be fast\, funny\, and just a little unpredictable. \nWhat makes it hit is the chemistry. Steve Martin and Martin Short don’t just perform side by side… they bounce off each other constantly\, trading insults\, building bits together\, and stretching moments in ways that feel spontaneous even when the timing is razor sharp. The show moves quickly between stand-up\, sketches\, and even music\, with Martin bringing out his banjo and Short slipping into some of his classic characters. It keeps shifting just enough that you never quite settle into one rhythm… in a good way. \nLive\, it feels more like a shared night than a scripted performance. Some parts are polished\, others feel like they could go off in any direction depending on the crowd or the moment. That mix of structure and freedom is what makes it work… you’re watching two masters who know exactly what they’re doing\, but still leave room for surprise. If you’re into comedy that’s smart\, playful\, and built on timing and personality instead of shock value\, this tour delivers in a way that’s both nostalgic and completely alive.

SUMMARY:KC and the Sunshine Band Bring the Sound That Made Miami Dance to Foxwoods
DESCRIPTION:KC and the Sunshine Band Bring the Sound That Made Miami Dance to Foxwoods Oct. 2\, putting Harry Wayne “KC” Casey and one of the defining bands of the disco era on the Premier Theater stage for a Friday night packed with songs that long ago escaped the 1970s. \n“Get Down Tonight.” “That’s the Way (I Like It).” “(Shake\, Shake\, Shake) Shake Your Booty.” “I’m Your Boogie Man.” “Boogie Shoes.” “Keep It Comin’ Love.” \nYou don’t have to consider yourself a disco fan to know the music. \nMore than 50 years after Casey began assembling the sound in South Florida\, KC and the Sunshine Band remains a touring operation rather than simply a nostalgia brand. Foxwoods says the group performs more than 100 shows annually\, while the current band roster includes a full rhythm section\, percussion\, two keyboardists\, four horns\, backing vocalists\, and dancers surrounding Casey. \nThat’s important because the Sunshine Band’s records were never minimalist affairs. \nThey were built to move people. \nBefore Disco Exploded\, Miami Was Building Its Own Sound\nThe KC story begins far from the clubs of Manhattan. \nCasey grew up in the Miami area and in the early 1970s worked at TK Records\, the small Florida label that became one of the centers of what would become known as the Miami Sound. \nWorking with bassist and producer Richard Finch\, Casey began combining funk and R&B with prominent horns\, relentless rhythm and Latin-influenced percussion. \nThe Sunshine Band’s first record\, “Blow Your Whistle\,” reached the R&B chart. \nThen everything accelerated. \nThe group’s self-titled 1975 album went triple platinum and produced the No. 1 singles “Get Down Tonight” and “That’s the Way (I Like It).” The follow-up album Part 3 produced another run of enormous records\, including “I’m Your Boogie Man” and “(Shake\, Shake\, Shake) Shake Your Booty.” \nAccording to the band’s official history\, KC and the Sunshine Band became the first act since the Beatles in 1964 to score four No. 1 pop singles within a 12-month period. \nFor a stretch in the middle of the 1970s\, this wasn’t merely a successful disco band. \nIt was a hit-making machine. \nThen Came Saturday Night Fever\nIf the band’s records helped build the dance-floor culture of the decade\, Saturday Night Fever helped send it around the world. \n“Boogie Shoes” appeared on the 1977 soundtrack alongside the Bee Gees\, Yvonne Elliman\, Tavares and The Trammps. \nThe soundtrack became one of the landmark albums of the era. \nCasey’s involvement went beyond having a song on it. His work connected to Saturday Night Fever brought additional Grammy recognition\, including Album of the Year and a producer award associated with the soundtrack. \nThe cultural afterlife of the music has proved just as remarkable. \nKC’s songs have continued turning up in movies\, television\, commercials\, sporting events and celebrations decades after their original release. The band’s official biography says the music has appeared in more than 200 movie soundtracks. \nThat’s one reason a KC and the Sunshine Band concert works differently from some legacy-artist shows. \nA substantial portion of the audience has been hearing these songs their entire lives whether they intentionally sought them out or not. \nKC Never Really Stopped\nCasey is now more than half a century removed from the band’s formation in 1973\, but KC and the Sunshine Band continues to tour with a large ensemble. \nThe current lineup listed by the band includes percussionist Fermin Goytisolo\, drummer David Simmons\, keyboardists Michael Joy and Johnathan “J Whitty” Whittaker\, guitarist Christopher Lane\, bassist Steve Lashley and a four-piece horn section\, along with backing singers and dancers. \nCasey remains at the center on lead vocals. \nThe career numbers are substantial: Foxwoods cites worldwide sales exceeding 100 million records\, nine Grammy nominations\, three Grammy Awards and an American Music Award. Casey received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2002. \nAnd the catalog hasn’t simply been put under glass. \nIn July 2026\, KC and the Sunshine Band collaborated with NYNE on the new single “Love Goes Up and Down\,” another reminder that Casey is still recording as well as touring. \nBut Friday night at Foxwoods inevitably comes back to those records from the 1970s. \nThey were designed around an uncomplicated proposition: get people out of their seats. \nFive decades later\, that’s still the assignment. \nMore information is available at the Event Website link below. SUMMARY:Lenny Pearce Turns Kids’ Songs Into a Toddler Rave at Foxwoods
DESCRIPTION:Lenny Pearce Turns Kids’ Songs Into a Toddler Rave at Foxwoods Oct. 3\, bringing one of the stranger — and smarter — ideas in family entertainment to the Premier Theater: take the songs little kids already know\, give them thumping electronic beats\, lights\, characters\, and the energy of a dance festival\, then invite the parents to the party too. \nIf the name Lenny Pearce doesn’t immediately mean anything to you\, there’s a good chance someone under 6 would understand the concept. \nThe Australian DJ and entertainer is one of the people behind the rapidly growing world of “Toddler Techno” and family raves\, transforming songs such as “Heads\, Shoulders\, Knees & Toes” and “The Wheels on the Bus” into electronic dance tracks designed to get very small feet moving. \nAnd this isn’t a DJ playing children’s music in the corner of a community room. \nPearce has turned the idea into an international touring production\, moving more than 200\,000 tickets across Australia\, New Zealand\, the United States\, Canada\, Asia\, the Middle East and the United Kingdom. His social following has climbed into the millions\, while his music has led to collaborations with some of the biggest names in children’s entertainment\, including Disney\, Nickelodeon\, Blippi\, PAW Patrol and The Wiggles. \nFrom Australia’s Got Talent to Dad Life\nPearce had already spent years performing before toddlers became his audience. \nHe and his identical twin brother John were members of Justice Crew\, the Australian dance group that won Australia’s Got Talent in 2010 and subsequently became a successful pop act. Pearce eventually left the group and moved into DJing and music production. \nThen he became a father. \nAfter his daughter was born in 2022\, Pearce began experimenting with a problem familiar to generations of parents: children want to hear the same children’s songs over and over again\, while adults may be considerably less enthusiastic about the 400th trip around “The Wheels on the Bus.” \nHis solution was to make children’s music that he wanted to hear too. \nPearce began putting electronic beats behind familiar songs and posting videos of himself and his daughter dancing to them. Other parents started playing the tracks for their children and sharing their own videos. His 2023 techno version of “Heads\, Shoulders\, Knees & Toes” helped push the idea well beyond his own household. \nEventually\, the living-room dance party became a real one. \nThis Is a Rave Where Bedtime Still Wins\nPearce’s Toddler Rave World Tour borrows the spectacle and excitement of an electronic dance show without asking parents to bring their preschoolers into an adult nightclub. \nThere are big beats\, lighting\, dancing\, props and colorful recurring characters\, including Kuma the Monkey\, Bubbles the DJ Duck and Mr. Glow. Pearce works the stage rather than simply standing behind a DJ console\, interacting with children and turning familiar songs into opportunities to jump\, dance and play. \nThe audience is deliberately multigenerational. \nLittle kids get songs they recognize and a show built around their attention spans. Older siblings can join the dance floor. Parents get actual electronic dance music rather than spending an afternoon pretending they’re thrilled to hear another conventional children’s singalong. Grandparents\, aunts and uncles are welcome too. \nThat crossover may explain why the concept has traveled so well. \nPearce sold out dates during his earlier American tour\, and his family raves have expanded into a worldwide touring operation. His music has also crossed directly into one of children’s entertainment’s biggest institutions: The Wiggles\, where his twin brother John is now known to millions of children as the Purple Wiggle. \nFor families who already have Pearce\, The Wiggles or his remixes in regular rotation\, Foxwoods is a chance to step inside the screen and experience the music as a full-scale live show. \nFor everyone else\, think of it this way: \nIt’s baby’s first rave — except it’s at 12:30 in the afternoon\, the songs are familiar\, the grown-ups are invited and everybody can still be home before bedtime. \nLenny Pearce’s Toddler Rave World Tour comes to the Premier Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino on Saturday\, Oct. 3. \nMore information is available at the Event Website link below. SUMMARY:Rum Rendezvous Brings a Caribbean-Style Rum Party to Foxwoods
DESCRIPTION:Rum Rendezvous Brings a Caribbean-Style Rum Party to Foxwoods Oct. 3\, turning the Rainmaker Expo Center into a four-hour celebration of rum\, live music and island-inspired entertainment — with unlimited vendor sampling\, a live cigar roller\, food\, games and a chance to win a trip to Puerto Rico. \nThe name undersells this one a little. \nFoxwoods isn’t setting up a few tables and calling it a tasting. Rum Rendezvous is designed more like an afternoon festival built around the spirit that runs through everything from daiquiris and mojitos to tiki drinks and centuries of Caribbean history. \nGeneral admission allows guests to sample from all participating rum vendors\, with light\, dark\, and spiced varieties represented. Foxwoods has not published a 2026 list of participating distilleries\, so exactly what will be poured remains a surprise for now. \nBut the rum is only part of the afternoon. \nRum\, Rhythms and a Little Taste of the Caribbean\nThe entertainment includes live music from Miami Sound Revue\, a band built around the tropical\, Latin and dance sounds associated with South Florida\, along with a live DJ. \nBetween pours\, guests can watch a master cigar roller at work in the cigar lounge\, hit the games and interactive experiences or step into a 360-degree selfie station. \nFood will also be available. Every general admission ticket includes one dessert item from the event menu\, with additional food available for purchase. A cash bar will serve specialty cocktails and nonalcoholic drinks. \nAnd there is one particularly appropriate grand prize. \nFoxwoods is giving attendees a chance to win a trip to Foxwoods El San Juan\, its sister property in Puerto Rico. The winner must still be at Rum Rendezvous when the prize is awarded to claim it. \nPut all of that together and this feels less like a technical spirits seminar and more like an indoor Caribbean party where the tasting glass happens to be your passport around the room. \nYou Don’t Have to Drink to Come Along\nFoxwoods has also created a designated-driver ticket\, which makes Rum Rendezvous considerably easier to turn into a group outing. \nThe $25 designated-driver admission includes entry to the event\, dessert\, games\, the selfie station\, attractions and entertainment. Those guests receive a special wristband and cannot sample from alcohol vendors or purchase alcoholic beverages. \nRegular general admission is currently $50. Foxwoods is also offering a Me + 3 promotion: buy three general-admission tickets and receive a fourth free. \nEveryone attending — including designated drivers — must be 21 or older. \nThere is no VIP tier\, so the general admission ticket provides access to sampling from all of the participating vendors rather than dividing the room into different tasting levels. \nFour Hours\, But Don’t Arrive Too Late\nRum Rendezvous runs from 2 to 6 p.m.\, but there are two times worth remembering if you’re thinking about making this a late-afternoon stop. \nThe doors close to new arrivals at 5:15 p.m. \nThe final rum pours happen at 5:30 p.m. \nThat gives the final half-hour a natural wind-down before the event ends at 6. \nFor anyone who likes rum but doesn’t necessarily want an event devoted entirely to standing at tasting tables discussing barrel finishes\, that may be the appeal here. There’s enough happening around the sampling — music\, food\, cigars\, games and the Puerto Rico theme — to make the afternoon feel like a party rather than a trade show. \nRum Rendezvous takes place Saturday\, Oct. 3\, at the Rainmaker Expo Center at Foxwoods Resort Casino. \nMore information is available at the Event Website link below. SUMMARY:Foxwoods Raises the Stakes With $300\,000 Oktoberfest Bingo
DESCRIPTION:Foxwoods Raises the Stakes With $300\,000 Oktoberfest Bingo on Saturday\, Oct. 17\, turning its massive High Stakes Bingo Hall into an Oktoberfest-themed marathon where players will compete for a share of $300\,000. \nAnd this isn’t a quick neighborhood bingo night. \nFoxwoods opens the doors early\, runs warm-up games before the main session and offers packages that can put players into dozens of games before the day is finished. \nThe regular games begin at noon\, but serious players will be arriving considerably earlier. \nA $300\,000 Day of Bingo\nFoxwoods has made oversized bingo something of a specialty. \nIts dedicated High Stakes Bingo Hall covers more than 30\,000 square feet and seats more than 2\,200 players\, allowing the casino to stage bingo on a scale considerably larger than the church halls and community centers where many people first learned the game. \nOktoberfest Bingo takes that scale and increases the prize pool. \nA total of $300\,000 is up for grabs\, with both traditional paper bingo and electronic video packages available. \nAdvance-purchase players also get an advantage in sheer playing volume. An advance Paper Package costs $250\, while the Video Package costs $500\, with each providing 12 cards for the regular games. \nPlayers purchasing on the day of the event receive nine cards for the regular games instead. \nYou Can Turn It Into 35 Games\nFor players who apparently believe there is no such thing as too much bingo\, Foxwoods has another level. \nAn additional $105 Mega Package upgrade includes a set of warm-up games along with eight special games. \nThose specials include 4 Way 50\, Lucky 7\, U-PIC-EM and Bonanza\, along with four Quickies. \nPut everything together and Foxwoods says the Mega Package brings the day to 35 games. \nThe Mega Package is an add-on rather than admission by itself\, so players still need an eligible paper or video package. \nThe Day Starts Long Before Noon\nAlthough the main games begin at noon\, the operation starts hours earlier. \nAdvance-sale pickup and doors open at 6 a.m.\, giving early-arriving players plenty of time to get situated. Day-of sales begin at 9 a.m. at the Rainmaker Expo Center\, and warm-up games start at 10:30 a.m. \nThen the main event begins at noon. \nFoxwoods recommends the Rainmaker Garage for parking\, and the entrance to the regular High Stakes Bingo Hall is located across from Live @ Atrium Bar & Lounge. \nExtra paper will be available inside the Bingo Hall during the event. \nFoxwoods Has Made Bingo One of Its Attractions\nBingo can get overshadowed by slot machines\, table games and arena concerts when people think about Foxwoods\, but the resort has maintained an unusually large dedicated operation for the game. \nThe High Stakes Bingo Hall’s capacity of more than 2\,200 people makes it possible to build special sessions around significantly larger prize pools than a typical weekly bingo game. \nFoxwoods used the same Oktoberfest concept in 2025\, also offering $300\,000 in cash prizes. The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation later described that event as a day of bingo accompanied by themed décor and entertainment inspired by Oktoberfest. \nNow the steins and daubers are coming back out for 2026. \nTo purchase tickets\, click the Event Ticketing link below. \nDetails\nEvent: Oktoberfest Bingo\nDate: Saturday\, Oct. 17\, 2026\nAdvance Pickup/Doors: 6 a.m.\nDay-of Sales: 9 a.m. at Rainmaker Expo Center\nWarm-Ups: 10:30 a.m.\nMain Games: Noon\nLocation: High Stakes Bingo Hall\, Foxwoods Resort Casino\, Mashantucket\nPrize Pool: $300\,000\nAdvance Paper Package: $250; includes 12 cards for regular games\nAdvance Video Package: $500; includes 12 cards for regular games\nDay-of Purchase: Nine cards for regular games; additional paper available inside the Bingo Hall\nMega Package Upgrade: $105 additional; includes warm-ups and eight special games for a total package of 35 games\nSpecial Games: 4 Way 50\, Lucky 7\, U-PIC-EM\, Bonanza and four Quickies\nVideo Requirement: Video tablets require the purchase of at least two packages\nParking: Rainmaker Garage recommended\nRefunds: All sales are final\nImportant: Mega Package add-ons do not include admission and must accompany an eligible paper or video package. \n\n  \nFeatured image is an artistic representation inspired by the event and may not depict the actual people\, location\, or activities shown.

SUMMARY:Kathleen Madigan
DESCRIPTION:If you’ve ever wanted a night of comedy that feels like you’re sitting in a bar listening to someone who’s seen *everything* and somehow made it funny… that’s what you get with Kathleen Madigan. She’s been doing this for decades\, and it shows in the best way. No flash\, no gimmicks… just sharp storytelling\, dry delivery\, and that perfectly timed punchline that sneaks up on you a half-second late and hits even harder because of it. \nOn her current tour\, she leans into what she does best… observational comedy that feels grounded and real. She’ll move through topics like family\, travel\, everyday frustrations\, and the weird little contradictions in how people live\, all with that laid-back\, almost conversational tone. It doesn’t feel like she’s performing *at* you… it feels like she’s talking *with* you\, just funnier than anyone you actually know. \nLive\, the rhythm is what pulls you in. The laughs don’t come from big setups or shock moments… they build. One story rolls into the next\, callbacks land when you’re not expecting them\, and suddenly you realize you’ve been laughing steadily the entire time. It’s smart\, it’s effortless\, and it’s the kind of show that doesn’t need to be loud to fill a room. If you’re into comedy that’s sharp without being showy\, this tour hits that sweet spot and just stays there.

SUMMARY:John Mulaney
DESCRIPTION:There’s a certain precision to John Mulaney that you don’t see everywhere… like every joke has been shaped\, trimmed\, and placed exactly where it needs to be. His comedy leans heavily on storytelling\, but not in a loose way. It’s structured\, almost surgical\, with setups that feel casual and punchlines that land clean and sharp. He’ll take something small… a childhood memory\, a strange interaction\, a random thought… and build it into something that keeps unfolding as it goes. \nA lot of people first knew him from his writing days at Saturday Night Live\, and you can feel that background in how tight everything is. The rhythm\, the pacing\, the way he layers callbacks… it all adds up. But what really separates him is the tone. There’s this mix of confidence and self-awareness that lets him go deep into personal territory without losing the humor. It’s thoughtful without feeling heavy\, and polished without feeling stiff. \nLive\, that control really stands out. The stories stretch just enough to pull you in\, and then snap back right when they need to. The crowd stays with him the whole time… not because he’s forcing laughs\, but because the structure carries you there. If you’re into comedy that’s smart\, deliberate\, and built on storytelling that actually goes somewhere\, seeing John Mulaney live is one of those experiences that quietly delivers exactly what you’re hoping for.

SUMMARY:JoKoy
DESCRIPTION:There’s a kind of energy Jo Koy brings that hits the room almost immediately… loud\, warm\, and completely locked in with the crowd. Jo Koy has built his style around storytelling that feels personal but somehow universal\, pulling from family life\, culture\, and those everyday moments that don’t seem funny until he breaks them open. His delivery is big\, expressive\, and physical… the kind that turns a simple story into something you can almost see playing out in front of you. \nA lot of his material centers on his Filipino background and his relationship with his mom\, and those bits have become a signature part of his act. The voices\, the impressions\, the pacing… it all builds into something that feels both specific and widely relatable at the same time. He’ll bounce between characters\, shift tone mid-story\, and stretch moments just enough to keep the laughs rolling without losing the thread. \nLive\, it turns into a full-room experience pretty fast. The crowd gets involved\, the reactions get bigger\, and he knows exactly how to ride that wave. Some parts feel polished\, others feel like they could veer in a new direction depending on the moment… and that’s what keeps it fresh. If you’re looking for comedy that’s high-energy\, story-driven\, and built to connect with a crowd\, Jo Koy’s shows deliver that in a way that sticks with you long after it’s over.
