SUMMARY:Bob Marley Comedian
DESCRIPTION:If you’ve ever spent time in New England\, you’ve probably heard the name Bob Marley… and no\, not that Bob Marley. This one’s a Maine-based comic with a fast\, slightly chaotic delivery that feels like someone talking a mile a minute at a kitchen table\, except every line lands. His current run of shows keeps that same energy\, bouncing between theaters\, casinos\, and smaller venues where the crowd is close enough to feel like part of the act. \nHis material leans heavily into everyday life… family\, marriage\, getting older\, the small frustrations that somehow turn into full-blown stories. A lot of it comes from his own life\, and that’s what makes it hit. It doesn’t feel written traditionally… it feels remembered\, exaggerated\, and then pushed just far enough to get the laugh. He’ll jump from one idea to the next quickly\, but there’s always a thread holding it together\, even when it feels like it might spin off the rails. \nLive\, it’s all about momentum. Once he gets going\, the laughs stack fast\, and the crowd tends to stay right with him. There’s a looseness to it that makes every show feel a little different\, depending on the room and how people react. If you’re into comedy that’s high-energy\, rooted in real life\, and delivered with that unmistakable New England edge\, his tour is one of those nights that’s easy to drop into and just enjoy.

SUMMARY:Cole Swindell
DESCRIPTION:There’s something easy and familiar about a Cole Swindell show… like a summer night that doesn’t try too hard but still ends up being exactly what you needed. On his current 2026 run of tour dates\, he’s hitting a mix of festivals\, amphitheaters\, and more intimate venues across the country\, keeping the whole thing grounded while still feeling like a big night out. \nHis set leans heavily into the songs that built his name… “Chillin’ It\,” “You Should Be Here\,” “She Had Me at Heads Carolina.” They land somewhere between laid-back and emotional\, the kind of tracks that feel just as at home blasting in your car as they do echoing through a crowd. And that’s really his lane… country that doesn’t overcomplicate things\, just connects. You get the party moments\, sure\, but also those quieter songs that slow everything down for a minute. \nLive\, it turns into a shared experience pretty quickly. People aren’t just watching… they’re singing\, reacting\, leaning into it together. The vibe stays loose\, the pacing never drags\, and there’s a natural flow from one song to the next that keeps you in it without thinking too much about it. If you’re looking for a show that feels warm\, familiar\, and built for a good night out\, this tour hits that balance without forcing it.

SUMMARY:Dogstar ALL IN NOW TOUR with Special Guest The Backfires at Great Cedar Showroom
DESCRIPTION:Dogstar ALL IN NOW TOUR with Special Guest The Backfires at Great Cedar Showroom brings Keanu Reeves back to the stage in his other career on Saturday\, August 15\, when Dogstar arrives at Foxwoods Resort Casino for an 8 p.m. performance. Reeves plays bass alongside guitarist and vocalist Bret Domrose and drummer Robert Mailhouse in the Southern California alternative-rock trio\, with New York indie-rock band The Backfires opening the night. (Foxwoods) \nDogstar isn’t a celebrity side project assembled around Reeves. The band dates to the early 1990s\, released two albums during its original run\, toured internationally and opened shows for artists including David Bowie and Bon Jovi before going dormant after 2000. More than two decades later\, Reeves\, Domrose and Mailhouse reunited\, returned to the studio and released Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees in 2023. (Fallsview Casino Resort) \nThe Foxwoods stop pairs that comeback story with a much younger rock band on its own climb. The Backfires formed between London and New York\, released their debut album This Is Not An Exit in 2025 and have since moved from small clubs to festivals and national touring. The Great Cedar Showroom puts both bands into a relatively intimate room: Foxwoods lists the venue at about 1\,400 seats\, considerably smaller than the resort’s 4\,000-seat Premier Theater. (Spotify) \nAbout Dogstar\nDogstar began in Los Angeles in the early 1990s with Reeves on bass and Mailhouse on drums. Bret Domrose eventually became the group’s principal singer\, guitarist and songwriter\, establishing the trio that continues today. \nDuring its original run\, the band found itself routinely labeled grunge\, an understandable classification given the decade but one the musicians don’t think completely captured what they were doing. Dogstar’s music has always leaned heavily on melody and storytelling\, with Domrose’s songwriting drawing from an older singer-songwriter tradition as much as the louder alternative rock surrounding the band in the ’90s. \nThe group released Our Little Visionary in 1996 and Happy Ending in 2000 before the members went their separate ways. \nThen\, after roughly two decades apart\, something clicked again. \nReeves\, Domrose and Mailhouse began playing together privately\, rediscovered the chemistry that had held the band together and started writing. Instead of building a nostalgia tour around their old material\, they recorded an entirely new album. \nSomewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees\nDogstar’s reunion produced Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees in 2023\, its first album in 23 years. \nThe record reflects a band that no longer has much reason to worry about fitting into a particular rock category. Reeves has described its appeal in terms of the variety between songs\, with different tones and influences emerging across the album rather than every track chasing the same sound. \nThat makes the current version of Dogstar more interesting than a simple ’90s revival. Older songs are part of the band’s history\, but the reunion has produced a functioning creative band with new material to play. \nThe ALL IN NOW TOUR continues that second chapter. \nYes\, That’s Keanu Reeves on Bass\nThere’s no avoiding the obvious question for anyone discovering Dogstar through the Foxwoods listing. \nYes. It’s that Keanu Reeves. \nBut Reeves’ involvement in music isn’t new. He was playing bass with Dogstar while his acting career was exploding in the 1990s\, and the band’s original years overlapped with films including Speed and The Matrix. \nWithin Dogstar\, however\, Reeves doesn’t front the group or turn the concert into a showcase built around his movie career. He’s the bassist. Domrose handles lead vocals and guitar\, Mailhouse plays drums\, and the three operate as a conventional rock trio. \nThat dynamic has remained intact since the reunion. \nSpecial Guest The Backfires\nOpening the Foxwoods show is The Backfires\, a transatlantic rock band whose story began in London in 2018. \nSinger and guitarist Alex Gomez moved from New York to London to study and met guitarist Harry Ruprecht and drummer Max Wanduragala there. Gomez’s childhood friend Matt Walter joined on bass\, and the musicians began developing a band split between two countries just before the pandemic made that arrangement considerably more complicated. (47Magazine & Media) \nBy early 2022\, The Backfires had relocated to New York and began concentrating on building their live show. A sold-out Mercury Lounge debut was followed by touring with acts including Silversun Pickups\, Courteeners and The Mysterines. (Spotify) \nThe band released its debut full-length album\, This Is Not An Exit\, in January 2025 and followed it with a 29-date North American headline tour. The Backfires also moved onto festival stages\, including Governors Ball. (Spotify) \nTheir music falls into guitar-driven indie and alternative rock\, with British influences particularly apparent. Songs including “Blindsided\,” “Joyride\,” “Brighter Lights” and “Super 8” offer a good starting point before the Foxwoods show. (Apple Music – Web Player) \nTwo Generations of Alternative Rock\nThe pairing makes sense. \nDogstar came together during the alternative-rock explosion of the 1990s but often found itself slightly outside the sound of the decade. The Backfires formed more than 25 years later with influences drawn partly from the British guitar bands that followed that era. \nBoth ultimately center their music on guitars\, melody and songs rather than elaborate production. \nThe Backfires aren’t making a one-off appearance at Foxwoods\, either. They’re accompanying Dogstar on multiple dates of the ALL IN NOW TOUR\, including stops in Washington\, Atlantic City\, Mashantucket\, Boston\, Hershey and cities across the country. (www.livenation.my) \nAbout the Great Cedar Showroom\nThe Great Cedar Showroom offers a substantially different concert experience from Foxwoods’ larger Premier Theater. \nFoxwoods lists the Great Cedar as an approximately 1\,400-seat venue\, compared with 4\,000 seats at the Premier Theater. That makes it one of the resort’s more intimate rooms for nationally touring musicians and comedians. (Foxwoods) \nThe Showroom sits within the Great Cedar section of the resort\, near the Great Cedar Casino and hotel. Foxwoods’ current property map places it close to the Grand Pequot area as well. (Foxwoods) \nFor this performance\, Foxwoods recommends parking at the Grand Pequot Tower. \nBefore the Show\nGuests looking to make dinner part of the evening have numerous options throughout Foxwoods. \nOne of the closest is Cedars Steaks & Oysters\, located on the Great Cedar Concourse just steps from the Great Cedar Hotel elevators and near the Showroom. Reservations are recommended\, particularly on event nights. (Foxwoods) \nAllow some extra time between dinner and the concert for security and finding your seats. \nEvent Details\nDate\nSaturday\, August 15\, 2026 \nTime\n8:00 p.m. \nHeadliner\nDogstar \nSpecial Guest\nThe Backfires \nTour\nALL IN NOW TOUR \nLocation\nGreat Cedar Showroom at Foxwoods Resort Casino \nAddress\n39 Norwich Westerly Road\nMashantucket\, CT 06338 \nVenue Size\nApproximately 1\,400 seats. \nBest Parking\nGrand Pequot Tower. \nBags and Purses\nShopping bags and backpacks are not permitted. SUMMARY:Nikki Glaser: The Stunning Tour at Foxwoods
DESCRIPTION:  \nNikki Glaser: The Stunning Tour at Foxwoods brings one of the biggest names in stand-up comedy to the Premier Theater for two nights\, Friday\, August 14\, and Saturday\, August 15. Glaser arrives at Mashantucket during a remarkable stretch in her career\, following acclaimed comedy specials\, a headline-making performance at Netflix’s Tom Brady roast\, and two consecutive turns hosting the Golden Globe Awards. (Foxwoods) \nGlaser’s comedy is unapologetically adult and unusually candid. Sex\, relationships\, aging\, insecurity\, and the uncomfortable things people normally keep to themselves are all fair game. Rather than hiding her own embarrassing thoughts from the audience\, she tends to put them under a spotlight\, dissect them and find the punchline. \nThe Foxwoods stop offers two chances to catch The Stunning Tour; there are still many tickets available in the mezzanine for Friday’s show\, and more tickets are available in all sections for Saturday’s performance. The Premier Theater’s tiered layout also makes those upper-level seats a practical option for fans who don’t need to be close to the stage to enjoy a stand-up show. \nAbout Nikki Glaser\nNikki Glaser has been performing stand-up for nearly two decades\, but the past few years have pushed her into another level of mainstream recognition. \nHer 2024 HBO special Someday You’ll Die became the largest streaming audience for a comedy special in HBO Max/Max history at the time and earned Glaser Emmy\, Grammy\, Golden Globe and Critics Choice nominations. She also won a Writers Guild Award for the special. \nThen came Netflix’s The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady. Glaser’s performance became one of the most talked-about sets of the night\, introducing her razor-sharp roast comedy to an enormous new audience. \nIn January 2025\, she made history as the first woman to host the Golden Globe Awards solo. She returned to host the ceremony in 2026 and has already been tapped for a third consecutive appearance in 2027. (Golden Globes) \nHer television résumé also includes FBOY Island\, Not Safe with Nikki Glaser\, Welcome Home Nikki Glaser?\, The Masked Singer and numerous Comedy Central roasts. She made her Saturday Night Live hosting debut in November 2025. \nWhat to Expect from The Stunning Tour\nGlaser’s stand-up isn’t for audiences looking for sanitized observational comedy. Her style is blunt\, personal and frequently explicit\, with much of the humor coming from saying the things people may think but rarely admit aloud. \nRelationships\, sex\, body image\, getting older and her own insecurities have long supplied material for her stand-up. That willingness to make herself the subject of the joke is a large part of what separates her act from straightforward insult comedy. \nThe Foxwoods performances are restricted to audiences 18 and older. \nTwo Nights at Foxwoods\nGlaser performs at the Premier Theater on both Friday and Saturday night\, giving fans two opportunities to see The Stunning Tour. \nFriday\, August 14\n7:30 p.m. \nSaturday\, August 15\n7:00 p.m. \nNote that the Saturday performance begins 30 minutes earlier than Friday’s show. Giving yourself some extra time before the performance is also worthwhile\, particularly if you’re unfamiliar with the size and layout of the Foxwoods complex. \nEvent Details\nDates\nFriday\, August 14\, 2026\nSaturday\, August 15\, 2026 \nFriday Show\n7:30 p.m. \nSaturday Show\n7:00 p.m. \nLocation\nPremier Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino \nAddress\n39 Norwich Westerly Road\nMashantucket\, CT \nTicketing\nTicket prices vary by seating section and availability: \n\nFriday Ticketing\nSaturday Ticketing\n\nAge Restrictions\n18+ \nParking\nThe Fox Tower is the recommended parking location for the Premier Theater. \nImportant Notes\nNo shopping bags or backpacks are permitted. SUMMARY:Dogstar
DESCRIPTION:There’s something a little unexpected about seeing Dogstar live… and that’s part of the appeal. Yes\, people know the band because of bassist Keanu Reeves\, but once the music starts\, that fades pretty quickly. What you’re left with is a tight\, three-piece rock band that leans into a raw\, guitar-driven sound… somewhere between alternative rock and that laid-back California vibe they came out of in the ’90s. \nOn their current 2026 tour\, they’re riding the momentum of their recent comeback and new album *All In Now*\, hitting stages across the U.S. and Europe from late spring through the end of summer. The shows pull from both eras of the band… newer material that feels fresh and immediate\, mixed with songs that carry that older\, stripped-down alt-rock feel. It’s not flashy\, not overproduced… just guitars\, rhythm\, and songs that build their way into you instead of hitting all at once. \nLive\, it feels more intimate than you might expect. Even in bigger venues\, there’s a kind of low-key\, almost under-the-radar energy to it… like the band is more focused on playing than performing. That works in their favor. The crowd leans in\, the songs stretch a little\, and the whole thing settles into a groove that feels real instead of staged. If you’re looking for a show that’s less about spectacle and more about honest\, guitar-driven rock\, Dogstar’s current tour lands right in that space.

SUMMARY:The Ultimate Doors in the Great Cedar Showroom at Foxwoods Resort Casino
DESCRIPTION:The Ultimate Doors in the Great Cedar Showroom at Foxwoods Resort Casino brings the music\, atmosphere\, and unmistakable stage presence of one of rock’s most influential bands on Saturday\, August 29. \nThe concert begins at 8 p.m.\, but it isn’t a typical night of musicians playing familiar Doors songs. The four members of The Ultimate Doors have built their show around something far more ambitious: recreating the experience of seeing Jim Morrison\, Ray Manzarek\, Robby Krieger and John Densmore perform during The Doors’ late-1960s prime. \nPeriod-correct instruments\, vintage equipment\, wardrobe and even the arrangement of the musicians onstage are part of the illusion. \nFor a couple of hours\, they’re trying to make 2026 disappear. \nFour Musicians Recreating Four Originals\nThe Ultimate Doors deliberately maintains the four-man configuration of the original band. \nDarrian Kenney takes the Jim Morrison role on vocals. Branden Eifrid handles organ and keyboards in the Ray Manzarek position\, Todd Huffman takes Robby Krieger’s guitar role and Jordyn Huffman sits behind the drums in the place occupied by John Densmore. \nThat configuration matters more with The Doors than it might with many other rock bands. \nThe original group didn’t rely on a traditional full-time bass guitarist onstage. Manzarek frequently supplied bass lines with his keyboards while simultaneously contributing the swirling organ sound that became one of The Doors’ musical signatures. \nKrieger brought influences ranging from blues to flamenco guitar\, while Densmore’s jazz background gave the rhythm section an unusual looseness. \nThen Morrison stood at the front of it all. \nThe combination produced a band that was immediately identifiable\, even before he started singing. \nThis Is Supposed to Be 1968\nThe Ultimate Doors isn’t trying to imagine what The Doors might sound like today. \nThe target is much more specific. \n\n\n\nBy then\, The Doors had exploded out of Los Angeles with their 1967 self-titled debut and followed it with Strange Days. In 1968\, Waiting for the Sun became the band’s first No. 1 album in the United States\, while “Hello\, I Love You” reached No. 1 on the singles chart. \nJim Morrison had become one of the defining figures of the counterculture\, and The Doors had developed a reputation for concerts that could feel theatrical\, unpredictable and occasionally dangerous. \nThat’s the period The Ultimate Doors wants audiences to enter. \nThey Sweat the Small Stuff\nPlaying the songs correctly is only part of the job. \nThe Ultimate Doors uses period-correct instruments and vintage-style gear chosen to reproduce the tones of the original recordings and concerts. \nThe band also pays attention to how that equipment is positioned onstage\, how the musicians dress and how the performance itself looks. \nIt’s an unusually obsessive approach to the tribute-band idea. \nThere’s a practical reason for some of it. A vintage-style organ isn’t simply a stage prop when you’re recreating Ray Manzarek. The equipment is responsible for a major part of the sound. \nBut some details exist purely to complete the illusion. \nThe wardrobe matters. The stage arrangement matters. The way Kenney inhabits Morrison’s role matters. \nEven the microphone cable can matter. \nThe goal isn’t to remind you of The Doors. \nIt’s to make you briefly forget you’re watching anybody else. \nSomeone Who Was There Put Them to the Test\nPlenty of tribute bands have glowing quotes from fans. \nThe Ultimate Doors has something considerably harder to dismiss. \nGareth Blyth worked as a roadie for the real Doors from 1969 through 1971. \nBlyth’s experience wasn’t limited to hauling equipment. He worked soundchecks with Jim Morrison\, tuned Robby Krieger’s guitars and worked alongside producer Paul Rothchild and recording engineer Bruce Botnick. At one point\, when John Densmore developed blisters\, Blyth even sat behind Densmore’s drum kit. \nDecades later\, he saw The Ultimate Doors. \nBlyth wasn’t predisposed to love the idea. By his own account\, cover bands generally aren’t his thing. \nWhat caught his attention was the detail. \nHe recognized the equipment. He noticed that it was positioned correctly. He recognized the wardrobe and presentation. More importantly\, he thought the four musicians could actually play the material. \nComing from someone who had stood onstage and backstage with the real band\, that’s a considerably different endorsement than a five-star review from somebody who heard “Light My Fire” on the radio. \nMore Than “Light My Fire”\nThe Doors left behind one of the most recognizable catalogs of the classic-rock era. \n“Light My Fire” is unavoidable\, but the songbook reaches much further. \n“Break On Through (To the Other Side)” introduced the band on its first album. “People Are Strange” captured its darker psychedelic side. “Hello\, I Love You” gave the group another massive pop hit. \nThen there are songs such as “Roadhouse Blues\,” “Love Her Madly\,” “Riders on the Storm” and “L.A. Woman\,” recorded as the band’s sound continued evolving. \nA convincing Doors show also needs room for the stranger material. \nSongs such as “Alabama Song (Whisky Bar)\,” “Back Door Man” and “Five to One” reveal the blues\, theatrical and experimental elements that made the original group harder to categorize than its biggest radio hits suggest. \nThe Ultimate Doors has incorporated that deeper material into its performances rather than treating the catalog as a classic-rock jukebox. \nThe Morrison Problem\nEvery Doors tribute eventually runs into the same problem. \nJim Morrison wasn’t merely the lead singer. \nHis baritone voice\, movements\, poetry\, unpredictability and almost confrontational relationship with audiences became inseparable from the band’s identity. \nTry too hard to imitate him and the performance becomes parody. \nDon’t go far enough and it stops feeling like The Doors. \nDarrian Kenney has to occupy the space between those extremes\, recreating the visual and vocal presence audiences expect while allowing the musicians behind him to do what ultimately made Morrison’s performances work in the first place. \nThere was a very good band behind the mythology. \nThat’s why The Ultimate Doors’ attention to Manzarek\, Krieger and Densmore is just as important as finding somebody who can wear the leather pants. \nFrom Los Angeles to the Great Cedar Showroom\nSaturday’s performance takes place inside Foxwoods’ Great Cedar Showroom. \nThe venue is one of the resort’s more intimate entertainment spaces\, a very different experience from seeing a concert in the much larger Premier Theater. \nThat smaller room should work particularly well for a Doors recreation. \nThe original group emerged from the clubs of Los Angeles rather than arenas\, developing its identity at venues such as the London Fog and Whisky a Go Go before becoming internationally famous. \nA close audience and relatively compact stage put some of that intimacy back into the music. \nBefore You Go\nThe Ultimate Doors performs at 8 p.m. Saturday inside the Great Cedar Showroom at Foxwoods Resort Casino. \nFoxwoods recommends the Grand Pequot Tower for the most convenient parking for the show. \nGuests should also pay attention to the resort’s bag rules before leaving the car. Shopping bags and backpacks aren’t permitted in the venue\, and permitted bags are subject to search. \nThen it’s through the doors and\, at least for the duration of the concert\, back toward 1968. \nEvent Details\nEvent: The Ultimate Doors: Tribute to The Doors\nDate: Saturday\, August 29\, 2026\nTime: 8 p.m.\nLocation: Great Cedar Showroom at Foxwoods Resort Casino\nAddress: 350 Trolley Line Boulevard\, Mashantucket\, CT 06338\nBest Parking: Grand Pequot Tower\nPerformer: The Ultimate Doors\nMusic: Tribute to The Doors\nBand: Darrian Kenney\, vocals; Branden Eifrid\, organ; Todd Huffman\, guitar; Jordyn Huffman\, percussion\nBag Policy: No shopping bags or backpacks; all permitted bags are subject to search \nThe Ultimate Doors recreates the late-1960s Doors experience using a four-piece lineup\, period-correct instruments\, vintage equipment\, wardrobe and stage presentation inspired by the original band. \nMore information is available at the Event Website link below. \nTo purchase tickets\, click the Event Ticketing link below. \n\n  \nFeatured image is an artistic representation inspired by the event and may not depict the actual people\, location\, or activities shown. \n
